Hello friends,
I have problem in my browsers (opera, firefox, chrome and explorer), they are infected with a certain home page ("myarabylinks.com").
I tried everything to remove it, including scanning my computer, checking the control panel, add remove programs, and setting my home page to google.
any idea how can i fix it?
Thanks
Ra8
Hi sailor, sometimes this infection changes the target of the shortcut of your browser... To make sure it's not that launch the actual executable of your browser and not the shortcut, If this will not get you to myarabylinks.com then this is the problem... To fix it you can either create new shortcuts for your browsers or edit the target of your browser and remove myarabylinks.com (it usually is next to the path of the executable file)

Did you check your hosts file?

My brother downloaded an After Effects template, it came in an installer that force-installed the Delta Search. For those who haven't met this, Delta Search redirects your browser. It changes the home page, and if you put and address, it redirects to other pages and then gives you a link to click to go back to the real address. Very annoying, and also hard to remove. It took me around 4 hours to figure out how to complete remove it. There were no extension installed, no alterations inside the browsers themselves, homepage was set to a different one. My point is, people creating such addons are tricky. They keep coming up with new tricks. I've removed Delta Search countless times before, and every now and then, it surprises me with a new infection method.
So, back to Sailor, can you run Hijack This and send us the log please?

Search for a program called Easy Link that is installed on your PC and uninstall it.
According to the following page, it is the source of what you are experiencing.

You basically have Malware. Run MalwareBytes and run a scan, after that run an Anti-Virus scan, then chkdsk

Try opening the browsers from their target destinations, as in not the shortcuts. Sometimes some threats infect the shortcut.

Finally i fix it by downloading avafind then search for the Easylink program which cause the infection
