Hey guys,
I know about the newly introduced LGA 1150 socket, and I haven't bought my components yet. DO I have to get the i7 4770 instead of the i7 3770 ( with a board to accompany it of course) or it is too early for that? ( Consider, as I said, that we are talking in Jan ,Feb 2014) Performance is the same, right?

Haswell costs about the same as Ivy, and performs slightly better, and has less power usage as far as I know. I don't see a reason why you shouldn't go Haswell, especially considering you can ship the parts here.
You are planning to build in Jan - Feb 2014 and you are already deciding the parts?

By that time the new AMD cards will be out.
Well, if that doesn't bug anyone, I like to decide WAY ahead of time so I can know where I'll be spending every penny. The question is still at stake, though.

(Sorry haven't seen Avo's reply so the question is no longer at stake ) Well, I ain't willing to ship the CPU here since i have to add 33% ( Might have said 23% in previous posts, sorry it's a typo ) to the price of the product, which in the case of CPU Only ( and some other products I guess) can be the same price to the price here in Lebanon, which is practically useless to ship. But my main question is, actually, can I find an LGA1150 compatible gaming motherboard for, lets say, $250 Tops?

@Yasamoka: Well, changing the GPU choice ain't a problem, but at least I got to hear you opinion ,advices, and so forth. Plus, I learned a lot from you guys, and I still have a lot to learn. ( Please remember I am a 14 year old, so I'm basically a kid ). Yeah I just read about the " Radeon HD 8000 Cards " to be revealed closely. Do you think the price tag would be " good" compared to my budget?
Sweet ! I just saw the specs of the Radeon HD 8950, which is most probably to be priced at $400 with 28 compute units, 1,792 stream processors, 112 TMUs, 32 ROPs, 4GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 7,000MHz on a 256-bit bus, 1,200MHz core clockspeed, and 4,30TFLOPS of floating point performance. It's said to run 10 percent faster than a Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition card. This one looks very good for me !

False Specs:
Check of this link to get the specs:

No idea about the prices, we shall see.

I've read on another topic that pcandparts might be getting LGA1150 motherboards tomorrow, so that would be great.

Let's hope they get the 4770K soon too.

I wouldn't pay too much on a motherboard. To me a motherboard is a bunch of wires with some features. Does it overclock well? Is it well-built? Does it deliver enough power? Does it have the slots I want?

Those specs are false. 256-bit bus on the 8950 with the 7950/70 having a 384-bit bus.

The only rumors that might make sense is for the 8970 / 9970 (8000 series is a rebrand) to match or beat Titan performance for much less money, although even that might not be enough if Nvidia are close to releasing Maxwell. It's all vague, seriously. The question is whether Nvidia is actually ready to release Maxwell soon or not, and I say they aren't ready if they're still holding on to 28nm (both hitting a wall).
Oopsies forgot to edit it after I saw the official specs on AMD's site, sorry.
Yep. Reading about rumored specs will make you sick, believe me.

There's that rumor of 4096 stream processors on the upcoming 9970. That's just laughable. People never seem to learn or observe a pattern. Doubling from one generation to another comes perhaps once or twice every decade with a revolutionary architecture like Nvidia's 8800GTX.

Good stuff picking up on the technical jargon, I have trouble keeping up with those LOL.

EDIT: 8950 = 7950 and 8970 = 7970. The 8000 series is an OEM rebrand. So the next series is the 9000 series. AMD might be calling them differently, though. R9-xxx. Whatever works (or doesn't).
And guess what from where was the rumor initially transmitted? ( I saw it on a website, don't remember which) . From " a Chinese language trusted site". Well, I feel stupid for actually sharing the news -.-
Nah it's fine, a bit of enthusiasm and expectation is healthy. But I wouldn't go overboard with it or base important buying decisions on the rumors.

The rumors that are most accurate are the ones closest to release. Pattern.
Get the CPU from here.

And we cannot give prices on products which don't exist yet. However, prices should be around the same.

Yeah that's what I said, I'll get the CPU from here. I also said the prices are approximation, not real numbers .
pcandparts stocked up on Haswell CPUs and an Intel LGA1150 motherboard. The second part sucks but...it's a start.
Checked the LGA 1150 board at pcandparts.com.....I think I'll wait for some MSI and Asus ( maybe Gigabyte too ) LGA 1150 boards.

MEIT is the official dealer and they claimed they need a week kr two to get Haswell boards.

Hello MMM1999, how are you going to ship these? Because i am in deep need of shipping some parts from outside Lebanon... Thanks :D

Got the case now its alright (maybe also PSU), but for the other parts get them all at the same time. You have been warned!
