The pre-render stage is more CPU as the CPU calculates vertices and the like but the GPU has to do the actually output to the screen.
even a good GPU is necessary but as YASAMOKA stated earlier you need a good CPU , big amount of RAM and an SSD ..

Doesn't look like it's available at pcandparts, it looks badass though

That has been already taken care of (see my previous post), I'm looking now for a case.

10th one from the bottom up on the left side of the cases selection :)
Great, thanks.
I am just wondering if the PSU and MOBO will fit nicely in this case according to its form factor. I recall that was an issue years ago were some mobos are larger/smaller than the inner case... is that true also today?

Everything is 100% compatible and fit.

Guys, what do you recommend as a good screen for that setup?
Are you going to do color-accurate work?
yasamoka wroteAre you going to do color-accurate work?
Yes
What's your budget for a monitor?

If its around 300, then I recommend you take a look at the Qnix QX2710, Crossover 27Q / 2720MDP, and Catleap on eBay. These are Korean monitors. Fantastic stuff, read about them a bit so we can proceed.
I would rather not to ship anything from outside, I had enough trouble last time. I prefer to get it from the Lebanese market, and if lower than 300$, it would be great.
Nothing color-accurate available in the Lebanese market for that price. You got the Apple Cinema Display available for like $1k.

The best you can get from here is that LG e-IPS monitor, and if you're serious about color accuracy, you need a proper 8-bit IPS panel and a colorimeter / spectrophotometer. You got such a device?

And are you sure you know what you need to know about color profiles and color calibration?
I see, such detail in colors is not really required. A good monitor with a good price is needed and will be enough.
You should try some Viewsonic monitors from PCandParts. Viewsonic make excellent monitors.
In my experience, one unit of the LG IPS234T that I have tried had the most accurate colors out-of-the-box compared to other monitors I have calibrated (12+, laptops and desktops). Calibration made a smaller difference on this monitor compared to other TN panels.

You can't go wrong with the LG IPS234V, since I believe it's around the same.

Can you elaborate on your experience ordering from amazon? specifically how much did it cost you from customs, taxes and did you shipped through a us address, what problems have you encountered as i am planning to go that route, any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
I used Borderlinx with a US address.

That item list costed around 1670 USD (with the case) and shipping them from US (WITHOUT the case) is around 400 USD.. I opted out from shipping the case, as alone, it will cost around 400 USD (where its price is 230) since it is heavy. So I returned the case back and got one from Lebanon.

Overall, it is an expensive process, as far as I see it.

@yasamoka
I think I will go for that screen. Thanks!

Sorry for the intermittent requests, but can you recommend a UPS from pcandparts? I want it to hold that PSU (750 Watts) and the LG IPS234V screen.
I dont know why i will say this,Maybe im wrong, maybe its just my luck, and only happened with me.
But do not get UPSs from pcandparts.

I got a PCE 2200VA from them, it got damaged like 3 times.
They fixed it all those 3 times, replaced batteries and stuff.
And from my UPSs battery lifetime now, i would say that their repair/battery replacement is not with new, unused original batteries. Because its been like only 2 months since they fixed the UPS and replaced both battteris in the third time it got damaged, and it still will last like 3 minutes max. So i dont think those were new batteries.

The warranty for it is over now, and God Forbid if it gets damaged again (and im SURE it will ) i will remain UPS-less.
Which is some pretty annoying shit while in Lebanon !

Coming back to the point,
Again, i dont know if its my luck only, that i got the only badly manufactured UPS they had, or they all are like that i dont know.
But this is simply a warning .
You can opt for other brands than PCE, i dont know .

Finally , you say you have a 750W PSU, with a monitor ?
I think 1700VA UPS will do you fine , with a considerably long battery lifetime, maybe 10 minutes.
You can also choose 2000VA, but higher than that, its pointless and waste of money.
