A feature is missing (or it's a bug): When I'm logged in and check a thread that I've checked before, it opens at the first page/post. Whereas in the old design, it used to open is at the last page and post that it was at the last time i checked it.

The "all white" is a bit overwhelming

it would be better if you can add something to the white background.

It's a light shade of grey (#FBFBFB) not all-white. You can always suggest an alternative.

Regarding the complaints about the missing digest. The new "Posted" and Active links provide the same functionality. The homepage was an added step. We would probably put it back once the wiki is public.

One bug found here: In the profile page, there is a margin next to the "send email" link, to the left. I guess it was there to make place for a little envelope icon or something like that.

Click on the [New posts] hyperlink, not the topic title.

Now, after submitting a reply, the page reloads but then stays in the beginning; I will have to scroll back down to see my post.

I can't reproduce this. The old behavior is still here for me. Is anyone else facing that problem?

i want to give my secobd impression after a day of use, i dont miss forum digest anymore, categories marked with blue and with the word "New" next to them is more then enough, i actually started liking it alot.
For the colors, maybe you can darken the gray a little? just to make it a little easier on the eyes.

overall, i welcome the new version and i really appreciate your hard work, keep it up!

The new design has no identity, it is like a default template for a forum.
Sorry for this, but you need to add the old logo and tune the colors a bit

We tried to change the logo a while back (2009), but the results were... less then optimal.
Members proposed many different alternatives in a thread. At the end, everyone was loving the current logo.

I love the current logo but with the new design the logo is gone.

It's really annoying how we have to manually go the last page of every post. The old UI did that automatically.

@AvoK95: Instead of clicking on the title of the post, click on the (relative) date under the 'Last Post'. It's clickable even though it's the same color as regular text, and it will get you to the last post.

It makes sense I think. When you click on the title of a topic you're sent to the beginning to read in order. For the people who've been following the thread all along, we add a 'shortcut', in another column. There's consistency in the UI.

I don't remember how it used to be in the old version (I always clicked on the last modified time instead of the title), but it shouldn't take too long for you to get used to the new behavior ;)

Can't we have an option to return to version 2? I don't like this version for some reason that I can't put my finger on. Maybe a yellow background could fix this, the geeky logo , it feels like i am in a hospital.

When I saw the title "Welcome to LG version 3" I thought it was about some LG Product like a phone, then i realized that you meant LebGeeks.

So far it all looks good, The date stamp is much better,

Hey Samer, congrats on the new look and functionality. I was informed of this via a newsletter in my email, which also had some useful event info listed. Pretty nice.

Also, I like the address you have listed at the bottom of the email newsletter ;]

Edit: I used Stylish to darken the layout as I do for all websites I frequent.

What was wrong with the older UI? Can't you have changes while maintaining the look?

Actually, once you get used to it the new look is pretty cool. But a few things are missed and we all want them back like :
- The Digest : Because LebGeeks was the only forum with that feature and made going to topics a lot faster and easier.
- Signatures : I don't think a few letters or a text or two would bloat the forum. Signatures were a piece of everyone's personality and brought a laugh here and there and was something fun. I have never heard of a single forum without this simple feature
- The LebGeeks head : That was what made LebGeeks special because when me and shant were at the IRL meeting we used it to find other geeks, since we were lost.
- Topics going to the last page automatically : I know you can press on the "New post" link and go straight from there, but it's still annoying and it makes things a lot easier to post, since the person who wants to post something won't need to go back to the first page of the topic, since he'll already be following it.
- BBCode buttons : Not every geek is used to coding and might not be so easy for him to use BBCodes. There were buttons for it on the old UI and was overall more user-friendly.
- Smilies : We all use them. Why not turn them on and make use of the feature ?
- Darker background : The white background really hurts your eyes when you're in a dark room.

I think something is better to be done to make the "Report" button, it looks too much like "Reply" when I'm not concentrating. I'd just suggest that the sending button of the report gets renamed to "Send Report" or "Report" instead of "Submit", it might give double attention.

I don't, It's more stylish without them ! But I agree with other things. And this one, I guess too, if it remains an option.
