The immigration process is not a pie.
It's a matter of life.
@m0ei The only "benefit" he's talking about is a higher management position and a higher pay, that's why everyone runs for an MBA not because they all enjoy it and that's plain wrong.
My best friend lives in the UK and we have both saved up enough for me to go there, as soon as I finish my new horizon courses i'm out of here.

good luck bro!
Its really sad to see that much youth aspires to immigration and I am one of them. I think Lebanon is a great place to be and work at after-all nothing feels like home but first we need to solve the following issues:

- Cure Sectarianism within the society
- Effectively cure corruption
- Achieve equality between people
- Create a secular and powerful state that is able to protect the people and the land effectively (all of it)
- Kick out all sectarian leaders and prohibit any sectarian or religious based parties
- Prohibit any religiously affiliated person to reach power. Also those who do "good for the people of their own village or region" by giving away money etc.. as an investment for the elections.

Yet at the same time the state should be able to provide all basic needs that people want such as education, services and protection.

If we can do these rest of the such as electricity, internet, services will follow. It all in the hands of people but no one gives a shit about it! They're just good at getting paid food packages and some hundreds for the voting. And in the mean time those worth developing this place and improve it have no option but to just leave.

That's sad, it definitely needs a revolution but the problem is that very few are ready to change the system. If you would like to discuss this issue further we can create a new thread about it.

Good luck achieving the unachievable. :P

The problem with revolutions is that some of the people you were trying to get rid of in the first place will take advantage of the upheaval and divide and with a large backing come into power. We've seen this happen recently throughout the arab world. Lebanon is not much different, there is a large number of people who are not happy with the current conditions but there is no agreement on what should be done or who should lead next.
You should have traveled to study abroad before you finished 12th grade, since no other country has such retarded exams anyway..
Just to make things clearer, rolf, I do not want to travel to continue my studies. I already have an MIS degree (which is still in the university - I never needed it). I want to travel because I want to live in a civilized country and develop a good career in Software Engineering. I'm very happy at work, but I need to get out of here if I'm going to be where I want to be in 5-7 years from now.

Canada is okey, but I heard it's not a nice place to live in. Australia would be perfect, but I heard their immigration process is a pain in the ass, and there's a very good chance that things would end up not working my way eventually... But I wouldn't mind giving it a shot anyway.
As Ayman said it's really sad to see a bunch of you wanting to leave , if all the good people leave here , who will stay ?? "l zo3ran" ?
@Avo i totally agree , you should see some American or Indian tests ..they are mind blowing esp when you are focusing on one subject .
It's okay to talk about studies abroad, but this particular thread is turning into ranting about Lebanon. Per policy this is not tolerated here.

I'm only locking the topic but keeping it up so that the whole conversation so far remain visible. If anyone is still interested, I encourage you to open a new thread focusing on studies abroad.
