Sorry for being little late to the party guys, i posted a similar topic, and samer told me to read this thread, i have an iphone 4s from the states, virgin mobile carrier, I've heard that it's the hardest carrier to unlock it's not mine and i don't know a lot about iphones, i'm an android guy, I happen to know how to jailbreak.
I just want to know the following, are you 100% sure that jailbreaking the iphone that i have will unlock the sim? it's not my phone so if it didn't work, I'll take the blame. I just need a confirmation before I proceed with jailbreaking.
Update
Someone told me and i quote:
Virgin Mobile USA iPhones are CDMA. If you need a refresher - CDMA means the phone is locked to the network forever.
You will never be able to unlock your iPhone from Virgin Mobile USA. They do NOT use sim cards - so there is NO way to unlock it.
It was up to your discretion to find that out when you purchased the phone that it was CDMA.
Go to the Virgin Mobile USA Facebook page - they'll tell you the same thing.
How sweet is that! And by the way, I didn't buy it, it's not mine, some people gave it to my friend and my friend ask for my help.
