  • Olympia Typewriter Ribbon

I'm searching for a store selling ribbons ("ink") for an Olympia Werke AG Wilhelmshave typewriter. I guess the ribbon rolls come in standard sizes so the model of typewriter is irrelevant. Any chance I could find one of these in Lebanon?

Try checking these old stores that sell a lot of different things (electric bulbs, locks, and other random things). Another idea is to check souk el ahad. They sell typewriters at the antiques section, I guess you could take the ribbon out of another typewriter and re-use it on yours.

I asked several antique shops at Bourj Hammoud, they all made it clear it's hard to find. I'll definitely check at souk el ahad. But I have a DIY solution in mind: I'm going to dip the whole ribbon (the one that came with the typewriter, it's completely dried out) in a suitable ink then rolling it back just before it dries out. I will post updates about the issue.
