Any Counter-Strike fan out there ? Any type.
If you heard the CS:GO pre-purchase was out for a while now like 10 days and the beta was out couple a days back. Costs 14.99$ over steam but has a 10% discount until 21st of Aug.
I'm talking CS:GO over steam or PC. The game will unlock after 19 hours to be exact on 21st of Aug which is at 8:00 GMT +2.

Any thoughts about the game ?

To be honest the change in the maps was lame. Personally, i don't like those kind of models but it's fine.
How about the recoil ? Heard it's like Left 4 Dead 2 and takes time to get used to.
Other than that, news saying it has a zombie mod and a chicken defuser gameplay and looks pretty fine and competitive with respect to CS 1.6 and CS:S
im a big fan of css,i was a real pro back in 2011-jan 2012,until i got employed :P
cs:go didn't interest me that much, i don't think it will be better than css.that again i didn't play it yet
To be honest, i got CS:S on steam. I really dislike it. Sucks so bad. Models, maps, recoils, the layout ..
It's so mixed up ..

CS 1.6 will be the most played CS game in the world but hopefully CS:GO would make a good impact.
Waiting for tomorrow!
I saw the trailers, and to be honest it looks like a CS:S 1.1
other than a couple of new weapons(ooh a Molotov cocktail so pretty!) , and models, they reused alot of sounds(reloading sound 14 years old lol)

so I'm gonna skip this sale and see how it goes
I used to play CS:S on LAN with friends couple of years ago. I stopped after playing DOTA. Thinking of purchasing this one; game looks much better than before. Is anyone going to buy it too?
Well, yeah we're all hoping it could be a hit. It's a mixture between CS:S and all that.
I already bought it on steam for 13.49$, 6 hours to go.

Thank you for posting it, was fun watching the official one.
If that's even close to what it looks like in-game, it's really good.

It's not.

I agree, so much more work could have been done to the game.

Yeah that's what i though ..
I noticed it said Source Film MovieMaker something like that.
1.15 hours to go.
So Naja , what can you tell us ? is it worth it ?
To be honest. It didn't finish downloading yet. The download rate (The peak one) was 356 kb/sec then drops to 0 bytes/sec then 100 kb/sec then 0 bytes. So it's really slow and will take till tomorrow.

I'm a bit curious about how it will look like, people around saying it is a developed form of CS:S (a positive way) although i can't see a positive way in CS:S because it sucks so bad. In my opinion the maps look so old school, i prefer the CS 1.6 maps but I'm okay with it. Other than that i can't say, except there are fun game mods in it.
-Chicken Defusal Mode
-Explosions are bigger

And graphics are way better.
In addition it's a bit more like CoD.
The game is amazing so far, it finished downloading just today. It still needs some fixes; silencers are missing and I hope to see them coming. The new weapons and game modes are great (Arms Race aka gungame and Demolition) the graphics are great, way different than the previous source engine (CS:S) which I think looks more rigid (physics, bullet impacts, recoil.. wise) There is variation in my overall likeliness to the game but so far and with more updates to come and the map workshop, It's gonna be a lot of fun and a new experience. I dislike the faction options though (factions changing based on map rather than user choice). One more thing is I kind of miss the old source engine's way of managing files and games. The game looks detached from other source engine games that have gcf files and Steam Cloud and more freedom in creating listen servers (chaning cvars via gui and loading custom maps via dropdown). Many CS:S maps should have been remade like cs_assault, cs_compound, de_piranesi.... For the moment I'm playing the game so if anyone is playing ADD ME ON STEAM ** Here's the making of the trailer http://youtu.be/GiCau-vzve4

Added on steam.
And the game just finished downloading earlier today this morning. IT ROCKS period.
For those that are asking "is it worth it ?" my answer is "totally"
The layout of the game, its GUI, graphics, modes are really really good. Takes time to get used to because it's a new experience. It's way different that CS:S.
In short, buy it and you'll love it.
so should I buy it on ps3 or it's a pc game?
@ballad: Buy it on PS3 .. I think it's out on all platforms.
does anyone know when the game will be released in Lebanon ? since i don't have Steam .

I know it's out on all platforms but what's the best platform for it?
