My fault.
I'm driving sober on roads with no lighting, I hit a wall and die (Highly unlikely, if there's no lights one should be RESPONSIBLE enough to drive slowly)
Government's fault.
It doesn't have to be 100% fault on one party.
If you're drunk and all the other conditions are good, you have a much higher likelyhood of surviving.
I'm not defending a drunk driver (how many times do I have to repeat that). I'm concentrating on the other factors, things which can be changed.
Anyway, following your logic, if you stay in Lebanon, and something bad happens, say you fall in crater while driving, what would you say I mention that at your funeral, that it's your fault somehow because anyone RESPONSIBLE enough should know to emigrate from such a country, especially if he's raising a family.
Don't take these personally, I'm mostly frustrated by the message seemingly not getting through and I find this attitude enraging.
Everyone thinks Lebanon is fun an exotic with it's power cuts, crazy driving, shoddy health standards and other idiocies until someone dies.
It's not a joke anymore.
MrClass wroteWhen an airliner crashes and 200 person die, and they discover that the pilot did a piloting mistake, they don't just blame him and move on. They try to find out why and how it could get there, and make changes so that it will not happen in the future, because this is not supposed to happen.
You can't use that as a comparison. Unintentional human error is way different than an intentional error. Drinking beyond reason is an intentional error unless his friends replaced his water with a drink without him knowing so (and that would be impossible anyway).
Even if the pilot is drunk they try to find the fault in the system and how he could evade checks. Changes are usually made, like more strict controls, etc.
I'm just repeating what I said but I guess you don't get it.
One more thing;
xterm wroteYes we live in a shit country. Here's a scenario for you:
Tell me, who made Lebanon "a shitty country"? Don't you think the people of a country hold some kind of collective responsibility in how their country is?
PS: I probably won't be checking this thread anymore.
