Awesome mate! I'll add you when I get back home :)
do you guys play the europe server or the US one
European servers of course, the US servers got way too much latency to be able to play with.
hey folks, this thing still going? im on Gandara, add me up Account name: Anisness.5649. Not a very active player though.
I am on the US server.i dont know if i can play in the European server. i joined the US one because i had the opportunity to start the game 3 days before its official lunch.

Hate to open an old topic but does anyone know where i could find a copy of the game. Tried Virgin and Nino Games neither seem to have it. Any help would be appreciated
i guess you could ask someone here if they could lend you their copy, then buy online an official serial number.
There arent any stores in the country that would still sell a copy?
What you can do is buy a digital copy from the website using a credit card or internet card, then get the download from someone.

LF someone to lend me gw2 for 2 days. I mean honestly can't find it anywhere and it will cost 80$ (3 internet cards) and a lot of time just to download it.
Anyone lives in the zahle , chtaura region that have the game so I can copy it on an HDD or something ? I already got myself an account but .. THAT DOWNLOAD , I can't be this patient to give up 3 internet nights ..

I played the weekend trial last month but after a few hours of gameplay, I wasn't so impressed, all the dynamic events felt not so dynamic beyond the first zone.
GW2 is having another trial for about a week now and decided that I would give it another chance, however the gameplay of this game is so different from what I am used too and I have no sense of orientation in it, no clue where to go or what to do to actually get the best of things. I'm simply running around "struggling" to complete the tasks ahead of me. The mobs are simply too challenging to solo and the zones are empty, what am I doing wrong?
Any suggestion on what you consider fun for spending a trial week in GW2 would be appreciated.

I just bought the game online for 24$
now I need to download it, and I am terrified at the idea, I am waiting till midnight for the unlimited period to start the client. I hope the download is resumable (I looked online and it is suggested that it is) I also hope a week is enough to download it

If anyone living near jounieh can offer me a data usb or something I'd be grateful...
~17 gigs and you can pause it so no worries although mine got corrupted once and had to get the game files from someone else.
17 to 20 gigs it seems. It is resumable and portable though. I downloaded 4 GB so far(1 mbps ogero connection over 2 days...) and have around 16 to go. I brought it to my work, we have a 4 mbps sodetel dsl and I set a scheduler to begin at 12 am and another scheduler to stop it at 7 am (you learn so many tricks when pressed to a corner...)

So while waiting for these 2 weeks to pass... I have a few questions. Do I get to choose what server I will be one or is it decided for me? (based on my location or the site I bought the serial from)

Which server is more crowded? or are they all almost the same? And finally, is the game really good? To be honest I only saw one good youtube review on it and then bought it(I heard it used to be 70$ then saw it was online for 24$, couldn't resist. pcandparts sells it for 50$ which would end up with me paying 60$ after TVA and getting it delivered.)
Hmm well first you get to pick what server you want to play on, also you can guest on another server when u want.
But i strongly suggest you see a server with people you might know because the point of this whole game is teamwork and as far as i know you can play alone most parts but its not as fun as having couple people helping you and having fun together.
The game is fun at least for a while, the graphics are awesome and the scenery is really good but it got boring eventually since there is a limited amount of things you can do after you get to a certain point, but you should try that for yourself and see.
If you got any more questions i would be happy to answer.
I don't have any friends. But I usually am good at making friends on mmos. I also have my own server which can run teamspeak. That should make me a bit popular. I am thinking european server for 2 reasons, one latency and 2 because people are awake when I am. I played on US servers others mmos, while they were okay, things used to light up at 1~6 am my time.

Anyway, I keep hearing about low frame rates per second in certain locations(forgot what the spot was called) and about the game being really cpu intensive. I don't have the top of the line cpu (i3, 3.30 GHZ 3220 I'm a cost effective guy and always thought VGA was more important in games) Do you notice any low fps?
