PunkBuster trouble
Ok guys, playing it @2:10AM and at 2:20AM, this thing now WORKS! I can play! FINALLY! Nothing in the internet connection or the router has changed. All that has changed is 4-5 days ago, I got a new GPU. So it seems that Evenbalance fixed the PunkBuster issues on their side (I believe this is the case because I think IDM have closed the case, as they told me that the issue lies on PunkBuster now).
Rubz & gipoy, make sure you tell them the issues you had so that they give you real IPs. I don't think they would have to do any routing because in my case, according to what they told me (data arriving at destination from your real IP address), they watched the IP addresses and ports over which the connection was established and they didn't find any problems. So I'm guessing get a real IP and try now.
Or just give it a try now! And see if it works. I'm interested to know what happens with you ASAP!

@Yasamoka, I called IDM Support and asked for a real IP, I was told that I should contact the sales department for that as it is a different service and requires that I pay extra etc..

gipoy: That's what they told me when we were in the first steps of troubleshooting. You need to follow through with the troubleshooting process. Once they conclude that the problem is due to multiple IP addresses contacting PunkBuster, then they would automatically give you a real IP. This is because they solve it this way:
1) Troubleshoot PunkBuster software issues
2) Troubleshoot local network issues (remove any routers blahblah)
3) Troubleshoot IP address issues
4) Troubleshoot routing issues
I reached 4. After a few days of waiting, it seems PB was fixed, and I was able to play.
Do I have a real IP? Certainly. I go to www.whatismyip.com and see the IP addressed assigned to my modem in there. It's in a pool 46.19.194.x.
The real IP address you get after troubleshooting (and for free) differents from the one for SOHOs. The real IP you would get is not reachable from the internet. That means that when you establish a connection with a certain server / IP address, the contacting IP address would appear as your own. But no connection can be established from the internet to your IP address. Meaning, if you were to host, let's say, a private match on Modern Warfare 2, and request that your friend connect to your IP address, it wouldn't work. This is because the IP address is not reachable.

I called IDM to follow up, and they told me they have already given me a "Dynamic Real IP" a while back to solve the issue. Apparently that did not solve they case - The are looking into it agan.
@Rubz: go to the modem page and give me your IP please. I gave you my phone number a while back in a PM, please call me so I can help you update PunkBuster (there are multiple ways). I will later post here if stuff works.

Hmmm I have 46.19.194.x...let's see what IDM will do...after I was given a real IP, they checking routing protocols THEN arrived at the conclusion that it's from PB's side...well let's wait and see (it worked with me).
Once you reach the same stage I did with IDM, we can then see if things work or not. After that, we should decide the next step, if it doesn't work, and party if it does. (I should really throw a party if it works for all of us).
UPDATE: I recharged my internet account on IDM on Sunday. Lost my real IP and reverted to 1mbit/s instead of 2mbit/s.Battlefield 3 stopped working. Called IDM Tuesday (late) and sent them an email on Wednesday. Wednesday night and Thursday midnight (like 1AM) the connection speed went back to low 200sKB/s, so 2mbit/s. Today at 11am they called asking if it worked, then said that the issue of real IP has been sent and is being looked into. Now at 12:30PM they called and told me to restart modem to obtain real IP.Battlefield 3 worked again.
The real IP is all you need now.

Ive called them a few times, and referenced your number - they replied that the only thing they did to you is forward you a link to an EA page where it states that the problem is with PB and that i should wait for a software update.
Whatsmyip show a different IP than the one on the modem's page

I'm gonna try now that more people seem to have got it fixed.. Usually I'm the first one that gets things fixed with IDM, I always call them, I use to call them multiple times a day on a daily basis but now I'm just tired of it.
I've definitely called them more than a thousand times..literally.
Anyway, I just called and opened a case with them about the no packet flow issue. I asked to give him this link to add to the case, he said they don't need it blah blah, as usual, the all knowing IDM. Lets see what they do about it.
PS: for those interested, BF3 premium is available for 25$ at virgin as opposed to $50 online. No CD included, just a serial code. Pretty good though
