i agree, lebanese have a weird way of thinking, even if iphone 5 will be the worst phone in history, they would still get it for its name, no one buys htc because its not a famous brand, in my opinion, the s3 specs compared to s2 is not that great, and htc one x seems a much better phone (not being a fan boy here, just my opinion on price*performance)

How does the one x seem to be a better phone? htc used to be the most famous android brand untill they started making crappy phones and samsung took over.this is a fact not fanboyism. If the lg optimus lte2 proves to be a better phone i will buy that instead. htc definitly improved since last year but are not quite there yet.

End users Antutu benchmarks for HTC One X gave 11000 to 12000 score while SGS3 gave 10000...
Comparing the design and materials of sgs3 with HOX is like comparing a ''big wall'' chinese car with an Aston Martin ;)

One interesting thing, the S2 score almost doubled when on ICS 4.0.3 ; should that mean Xperia S will win the 2nd place when ICS comes out ?

yes ICS got hardware acceleration, gingerbread doesn't.

things you can expect once you get ICS are much more fluid and smooth System UI (ie launcher) animation transitions and effects.
Apps would take advantages of Hardware acceleration so same UI enhancements goes for apps as well as speed improvements in running the apps.

Are push notifications faster as well ? Some reviews say yes other say not. I noticed that my Android lags like 1 minute with emails and couple of seconds with chat messages.

Both Windows Phone and Android using same wifi connection and syncing same G-mail / exchange account, WP displays notifications almost immediatly ( so does iOS ) but my Android takes like 30 secs up to 1 minute to show a notifcation ( push feature activated of course )

By reading your post and looking at your picture, I noticed that you don't have an idea about benchmarks ? only about the phone design.

FOR THE LAST TIME, S3 is fucking better than the One X, except in the design. Done.

Actually if i were you i wouldn't have bought the Xperia S. You should have picked a Samsung or HTC phone. If you went back then with HTC One X, you would have gotten ICS already and Sense UI is great. I bought my S2 just because i knew back then that ICS is going to be released soon, so i sold my iPhone 4. ICS is way better in all aspects.

You would have different feelings if you were on ICS now. Anyway did you check if there's a complete Custom rom for your phone ?

Also, if you had HTC One X you would get better support on XDA and more custom roms available.

i don't think that this android android problem, but could be a software bug slowing the sync speed. i think they will either release separate bug fix or include it in the ICS update.

Well to be honest I went to the store, asked to try both devices, Onex for 590$ and XperiaS for 540$ ( price isn't a problem ); I ended up getting the xPeria simply because of the stunning screen and trust me it's much better than the OneX ;

I've been a member since 2003 on xda-dev and I know that HTC got better support there, Sony is relatively new; however there are some good devs also who havent moved to HTC or Samsung in the Sony section ( yet ).

Crossed fingers.

PS: Xperia S will get ICS but probably not before June.
