The next big thing is here!

Android fans can finally exhale -- Samsung's follow-up to the wildly popular Galaxy S2 is here at last. Simply dubbed the Samsung Galaxy S3, it looks set to be another blinder, packing a whopping 4.8-inch 720p display and a slick new design.
Full Phone Specifications ---- TechRadar Review ---- Benchmark Results

Personally, i think the specs are really good. The design is really bad!
this phone in my opinion is potentially the big thing... Some say that the design looks cheap and doesn't even look good , I think that the design is okay and it could've been better if the back cover had the same texture as the nexus but of course with the same colors the phone has right now . They say the camera (8mp) isn't enough for a flagship , I think that whoever is thinking of the camera should go buy an hd camcorder not a phone .
the screen is awesome , the phone has an led notification light which is also cool , inductive charging ( WOOOOOOOW) , NFC , and my favorite part is that the user interface looks so nice and in my opinion it can give HTC SENSE a run for its money since the UI looks so similar to ICS stock UI ! and honestly TW icons look better than the stock ones . I have bought the galaxy s2 when it came out last year and of course I'm getting this one as soon as it's available in lebanon ( no need for CTC waranty since it will put a whole in my pocket just like last year :P ) . I've been an iphone user since they came out and switched last year to samsung because these guys know what you want and they give it to you unlike apple who gives you what you already had and then calls it inovative ... I still remeber the times when people enjoyed mms and us iphone users couldn't send one untill we had the iphone 3gs :P . iPhone users ! just try a galaxy s , s2 or even this one and then you will know what changed my mind :D
The "Big" thing is quite right, too big for my taste; for a hand held mobile device arleast. I think from the way things are going, people will start to carry ipad/galaxy tab size mobile phones.
This phone is well specced in all ways, but i personaly would not like to carry such a large device around for making calls and some light gaming and browzing.
I am not realy an ifan but i believe the best size for a phone would be the size of the 4/4s. Anything larger i would not take out with me.

I had to stay awake late at night to write this article, figure out what the hell was Smart Stay, find reliable information and good picture
-Screen 4.8" Super Amoled HD (1280x720p)
-Digital Camera: 8MPX ultra fast with LED Flash
-Battery of 2100MAh
-8.6mm for 133g
-1.4GHz Exynos quad-core processor
-1GB of RAM
-Storage 16, 32 and 64GB extendable with an SD card
-Android 4.3
This is way more than the big thing, it's the most freaking awesome phone until now.

I will be definitely getting my hands on one as soon as it's released here in Lebanon.

I actually prefer a larger screen for a phone. iPhone screen is way too small, you can't really enjoy anything on it.
The design is really lame, is it the official look?
Just got the HTC One X. It has a much better design than the S3 (My personal opinion), and it goes for 585$ now. I don't know why people are so hyped up over the S3 while a better alternative has been available for over a month.
The Galaxy S3 is great phone and the best one for this year so far, but I have few disappointments.

1 The screen is petile instead of RGB, not that the pen tile super amoled HD looks bad, but the RGB would look better

2 The buttons layout, why would Samsung use old menu button instead of new ICS buttons layout. Why use physical buttons in the first place on-screen buttons are better

3 touchwiz. For a company the size of samsung they can hire the the best UX design team in the world, but they choose the ugly touchwiz.
Was waiting for its release. Too bad

I guess ill buy either the One X or the Note

Still can't decide.
Guess design is a bit too important for some people. but if you want the best geek phone this is it.

I agree. it's more than clear that this phone.is better than every single phone available on the market but still some people will take the design as an.important factor.

i agree, lebanese have a weird way of thinking, even if iphone 5 will be the worst phone in history, they would still get it for its name, no one buys htc because its not a famous brand, in my opinion, the s3 specs compared to s2 is not that great, and htc one x seems a much better phone (not being a fan boy here, just my opinion on price*performance)

TL;DR: It's those damn lawyers again.
I'm not entirely sure why, but i read all the comments on this article. Funnily enough, it wasn't a waste, i learned much from the comments.

How does the one x seem to be a better phone? htc used to be the most famous android brand untill they started making crappy phones and samsung took over.this is a fact not fanboyism. If the lg optimus lte2 proves to be a better phone i will buy that instead. htc definitly improved since last year but are not quite there yet.

in specs
The benchmark tests show that the S3 is ahead of One X by some margin.
