A few years ago, I used to have an Ogero 1 Mbps connection (with quota). It never used to drop below 107 Kbps.
Then, I moved out and rented an apartment. I installed 'internet el-7ay' (basically V.I.S.P. "unlimited"). It was ups and downs, mostly caching and it became crap towards the end (about a year ago). Then 'internet el-7ay' switched to some other ISP (all caching, all the time!). I used to abuse the shit out of the cache, knowing how to get HTTP files onto their cache server and then download said files at 4~5 Mbps (caching speed) rather than their crappy 0.5 Mbps direct connection speed. At some point, internet-el-7ay grew tired with me and started throttling my connection to a crawl. For two months, I had an average of 0.1 Mbps, day and night. Ping to the Microtik was constantly in the 2000 ms range. It was hell.
Then, I applied for Ogero's 2Mbps Unlimited plan. What the hell, I thought. Let me pay 55$ for a 2Mbps connection, in the 21st century. At least, it'll save me the headache of shitty connections, I thought!
They installed it couple of days ago. I was initially getting between 1.7 Mbps and 1.8 Mbps. Not bad, I thought. Then, today:
