Reading your comments, I'm surprised my line handles it.
what i said is 10-12 dB as SNR margin is good for stable connection...and snr margin decreases with the speed delivered on the line.... for example if you have a snr margin of 35db on 2mbps and you want to switch to 4mbps it will decrease for example to 27db... so you can t say well i have 2mbps and my snr margin is 15db and i want the 8mbps...
you have 8mbps and your snr margin is 10db...that means your connection can be stable on 8mbps..and in your case if you switch to 2mbps you will get about 30db snr margin for download...
as for the upload... 7.5 db is very gd for 512kbps or even 1mbps.... i think you have around 800 1000kbps
