We have the router, homeline, and a wireless for the homeline all set up on the same table, and we do use the homeline so I suppose a splitter is needed as you said, but is the wireless phone actually interfering with the router? Should I change the position of the router?dio wroteInstall the router at the "mother" telephone line in your house, the one that directly comes up from the phone box to your apartment. A filter is needed if you actually use your home phone, otherwise you don't need it.doudi wroteHey guys, so i have my router directly set up next to the telephone line, does it affect the performance? A friend told me to install a line filter for the router. What do you guys think?
Besides those small things, it really all depends on the cleanliness of your building's phone box downstairs, as well as how far away you are from the nearest central.
Feedback for Ogero
The only way to be 100% certain, is to check the connection from your phone box downstairs. There are two ways to do this.
1) take ur router downstairs, find your phone line and plug it in directly to your router. Connect to the router wirelessly and do a speed test. If the speed is higher than ur house, then there is some sort of interference either in the phone line running up to your home or cuz of the interference due to ur phone.
2) call over and request an engineer to come and check it for you. They have a mechanism they can use to check ur phone box easily.
Also I recommend finding out how far you are from the central to guage the proper approximate speed you should have

Ogero will launch its new modern and advanced website on Dec 24 and the mobile application on January 27.
Multiple line down today I can barely get 10min straight without a 30-45 seconds of line down. The whole area has fiber optics under work some wholes in the streets nearby are open for days, could this alter the connection stability?
Why Ogero open wholes on but doesn't work on them and close them?

Anyone with Ogero experiencing slow browsing, youtube, etc... ?
Yeah, after a peaceful week the CRC storm is back today evening, I have normal SNR stable at 10 tho this time. I can barely download at 1.5 mbit/sec even tho my modem syncs at 11mbits.DG wroteAnyone with Ogero experiencing slow browsing, youtube, etc... ?
Hello, i am switching from Wise DSL to Ogero, any idea what wifi modem model are they providing ? And can you extract the pppoe credentials from it and configure another modem ?
As far as i remember ogero used to provide thomson routers and users can access it using limited privilege account (user / user) but there was a trick to extract the pppoe credentials from it.
All i want is to have the credentials and have full control over my modem without any need to visit the central office in case i decide to replace the modem one day.

No they don't give you full access but there is 1 of 2 tricks you can do. Use a tool for thomson modems to extract the username and password or in case that doesn't work email them and ask them to provide you with admin access to your modem, just give them your name L number and landline number and they would give it to you, after you gain admin privilege just extract it yourself from the config backup file or inspect element on google chrome.Aly wroteHello, i am switching from Wise DSL to Ogero, any idea what wifi modem model are they providing ? Ok many thanks vengeance666.
hey guys I need some help in here, so we had parental protection when we first got our dsl connection back in 2011 then we stopped it, after some time we needed to reconfigure our modem so we took it to SAIDA and a guy there configured it and turned on parental protection for some reason, we were okay with it for some time but it started to be so annoying as it was blocking sites too far from pornography, saying something like "suspicious","malicious","religion","racism" and so on, it blocked so many sites that I use and it got on my nerves so many times. So I extracted PPPoE username and password from the old thomson modem and got a new tp-link adsl2+modem solution and configured it on my own, of course with parental protection still on, so it became so annoying that I told my dad to take it to SAIDA and turn it back off, he did, and everything went well, came back from university to find out that the guy there changed the login username and password for the router preventing me from changing It's SSID and password and other stuff like Qos, which pissed me off, so I factory reset the router and reconfigured with the PPPoE username and password that I have and now Parental protection is back!
how is that possible? the modem doesn't even have parental control that you can configure in it, is it the PPPoE username and password? but I doubt that these change for something like parental protection!
calling ogero, emailing nader rifai or even visiting the nearest branch here isn't helping to turn off this silly service! And we do not feel like taking it back there to reconfigure it again!
Any help on that would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Ogero website seems to be down. Looks like they're uploading the new one they promised on Christmas! :)
Can anyone answer this because on twitter everyone related to Ogero seems to disregard my closed ended very simple question:
The new cabinet that are being installed that support fiber optic speeds in Beirut and in the surroundings areas of Beirut will increase speeds EXCLUSIVELY for ogero users or will ISP users benefit/feel any difference ?
Taking into account that the legal aspect of the whole fiasco between the ministry of telecommunication and Ogero has yet to be resolved 100% (profit percentage distribution between the treasury in contrast to the private companies)

I would like to know the answer for Toufic’s question as well ...

Anyone can explain the following :
1) If any modifications are applied on the details of the telephone line subscription (changing address, changing the line owner, etc…), the same modification is automatically applied to the Internet service for a fee of 10,000 LL if technically feasible.
2) Changing from one Internet Service Provider to another or from one Data Service Provider to another costs 20,000 LL.
3) If you are a fixed-line telephone subscriber, your Internet Service Provider is only authorized to offer you internet related services through the wholesale Bitstream service.
4) DSPs will use the wholesale Local Loop Unbundling (LLU) service for offering Internet related services to fixed-line telephone subscribers only and they are not authorized to offer any other data-related services.
