Anyone has a TP link that can share his configurations? Someone reset my router and after configuring it with my username and password it works, but with huge lag spikes during gaming sessions (Ping not effected, stable ping but movement during games is laggy)

sayedti wroteI got my open speed package but the speed is still 400kb/s, the same as my old package , i contacted 1515, they said its what my line can endure . I live in akkar , and in the most advanced countries there is speed difference between rural and urban areas or between areas with long distance difference , but this is unacceptable , im about 1-2km away from the central .
I live in Metn and I usually get 12-14 Mbps, but last night the speed was not going above 4 Mbps. I had to restart the modem for it to go back to 12 Mbps.
where exactly in matn you live?
Hello guys, i just wanna ask. What is the best adsl modulation type? adsl2+ annex A, M , or N? i'm an Ogero subscriber and i've got the open speed bundle 150 Gbytes per month. On speedtest i get like 11 or 12 Mbit speed. and these are my modem router stats
Line Status:
Connected
DSL Modulation Type:
ADSL_2plus
Annex Type:
Annex A/L/M
Upstream Downstream
Current Rate(kbps) 1020 13664
Max Rate(kbps) 1190 16436
SNR Margin(dB) 12.8 12.1
Line Attenuation(dB) 16.1 25
Errors(pkts) 2 35
@Moudimadi Annex A: default.

Annex M: allocates more channels for upstream bandwidth. So you get an upload sync rate of up to 3.3Mbps instead of up to 1.4Mbps at the expense of some download speed.

Annex L: increases the reach of the DSL connection. Useful for people who live far from the CO (I don't think it's implemented here).
iam subscribed to ogero`s open speed 100gb plan, internet was working fine on saturday but today i get these stats and net is being so sloooow. iam about 500meters away from saida`s central. what should i do

First make sure it is not somewhere at ur house or building bad connection.
Then if you are sure - report over twitter to https://twitter.com/OgeroTelecom for example, first ask them to open dm, and tell u want to report line fault
^ thanks but this problem somehow fixed itself. after restarting the router and unplugging cables 100000 times
Thank you so much for your reply Adnan

Can anyone provide some information on the Fiber optic in Hamra/Ashrafye that was announced by Ogero ?

Is this for real ? Or just like the last announcement where it needed an extra month before actual possibility of installment and implementation ?

Yeah i heard they started the installation and its FTTH
I contacted Ogero by phone after communicating with Imad Kreidieh on Twitter in this regards.

Terrible customer experience, the women i was speaking to was laughing, could not provide me with one single clear answer about anything i asked. To make matters even worse, she was unable to provide any ETA or timeline what so ever.

Logically, FTTH is still restricted to Hamra/Achrafye for now now, so i doubt a lot of people are jumping on board ==> few applicants.
Many have applied for VDSL or normal DSL in the past 2 months so that's where the real wait is.

So i asked her if there was direct implementation or is it just in a preparation phase (because i would have to cancel with my ISP and stay at least 2 to 3 weeks without internet at home). She WAS UNABLE TO ANSWER that question as well.

My issue is that i am getting 5 to 8 Mbps with my ISP. Ogero said my line can handle 20Mbps !!!
And i had an electrician the other day and he said i need to do an overhaul to my wiring (though i had to explain to him things from A to Z ===> cable types, SNR and attenuation, what is dsl/vdsl/fiber etc.)

I came up with the conclusion, if fiber is going to be available, doing the overhaul to get the 20Mbps VDSL is not worth it. I'll just upgrade straight to fiber.
But i received little answers in that regards.

If anyone on Lebgeek has any relevant information, please share because i will have to make a decision in the next 3 days.
I doubt anybody is more well informed than Ogero.
And i doubt Ogero can give definitive answer, as even when they developed pricing, it was delayed for weeks by political reasons. So they will be afraid to give any terms again.

I'm sorry to be the one to point this out but what the hell :

"I doubt anybody is more well informed than Ogero = i doubt Ogero can give definitive answer"

You just gave two consecutive statements that are a complete contradiction to one another

Anyway... my point was not related to the terms as much as it is a simple yes or no answer: if i apply for fiber tomorrow., is there a timeline for installation or is it just promotion/launch phase/marketing (i won't cancel with my ISP, 3weeks without internet minimum, before i get an answer from Ogero)

And i hope ppl can see how screwed up it is when you push to sell something that isn't available yet.
It's like opening a restaurant saying we have the best food, you go there and there's nothing for them to serve you, only the phrase: "eventually we will serve you but we don't really know when"

Everything wrong in this country can be summed up to this. It's like certainty freaks the shit out of lebanese

My answer is:
1)Ogero is most informed party, obviously, about fiber plans. They might know steps, but not schedule.
2)Ogero most probably don't have definite answers, as many steps depend not on them, but on MoT, politics, suppliers, customs, funding, etc.

I highly suspect it is feasibility study, where to install first, but it might be considered as preorder too.
Internet service, especially in Lebanon, is not restaurant, you can't compare such matters. I had to relocate several times in my life to get decent internet connection, as my profession is fully dependent on that.
It's totally new service, so anybody who will give some terms is just giving false promises. They have no experience yet in this, so i expect random delays and bumps in implementation at first moments.

Anybody tried switching from a private ISP to ogero?
What is the procedure and what delays are we talking about?

It depends on your luck i guess. My friend switched from idm to ogero i think it took 10 days max.
Did he stop the idm first?
Or can things overlap?
partam wroteDid he stop the idm first?

yes you need to stop idm first, and get from idm a paper (براءة زمّة) then go to ogero
guys did fastpath drop your SNR margin? was it higher on interleave?
