time for a silly question, will it be generally more advanced and better than all the previous Intel cpu's i5,i7.. ??
And in what ways more ?

smaller die, means less heat and more performance,less power consumption, pci 3.0 support, integrated usb 3.0 support and so on

well mate concerning the 1st part, it seems like your missing one crucial thing in here mate I'm "Tarek ROG. Store owner". yes i do own a pair of these sick cards running them on my bench setup & for sure i can get you anything yo want ;), as for the i7 well this is the Extreme one that means "1K+":D whereas the Mobo Price Range depends on your "Needs"
Note: My Rig is Socket 2011 not 1155.

Concerning your Question Honestly you can't say "will it be generally more advanced and better than all the previous Intel cpu's i5,i7" since Intel 3rd Generation Series Major Improvement Keys laid down on these parts as bellow:
- Concerning IV-B which is going to replace current Socket 1155 SB Based Cpu's, the key architectural enhancements delivering these improvements are:

Intel's new 22nm 3D Tri-Gate technology.
Enhanced AVX acceleration
IGP performance improved by 30% compared to its predecessor
IGP supports DX11 and OpenCL 1.1
PCI Express 3.0 x16 interface, including a PCI Express 2.0 x4 controller

Models are: Core i7 (4 Cores 8 Threads): 3770K / 3770 / 3770S / 3770T.
Core i5 (4 Cores 4 Threads): 3570K / 3570 / 3570S / 3570T / 3550 / 3550S / 3475S / 3470 / 3470S.
Core i5 (2 Cores 4 Threads): 3470T.
Core i5 (4 Cores 4 Threads): 3450 / 3450S / 3330 / 3330S.
Core i3 (2 Cores 4 Threads): 3240 / 3225 / 3220.
Note: i5-3570K Series based Cpu's will be available Exclusively @ROG. Store just like the i5-2500K when it rolled out in the market.

Well mate my previous location where in "Ras el Nabeh" Shant and the rest of the Guy's dropped there many times before the Relocating, whereas lot's of effort is being done to Reopen soon.

Shant concerning your "Aging Rig" definitely it will enter the Guinness Book of records for being the the Oldest Rig in the 21st Century old tech :D.

Well guys if you want to "DONATE" your q6600s ill be happy to lift their weight of you ;). If you want a small $ on the side i wouldnt mind, dont bankrupt me plz.

Anyway you might want to check a few more reviews o really see what this card is all about.
And here is a review of the 1st non-reference designs. They are not as equal to msi/asus/gigi designs, but hey we are seeing what they can do.

This is the palit card, jetstream, its abit oc-ed on stock but requires 6 and 8pin power + the tdp limit is 150% now instead of 132%. This will definitly oc more, but still we dont have full v control. Even if they say so, they are only maxing the stock volts used not more.

Tweaktown has old games, sadly but you can see the general idea, also HardwareHeaven isnt the best site when it comes to OC, but general idea here. They got it @ 1354/1805 which is way above avg oc of 1150/1200.

Just because they allowd more TDP we got this result, imagine if a company like evga/msi/asus/gigabyte alow v control and 170/200%more tdp. The card will suck alot more power thats for sure, but your buying an enthusiast class card, so deal with it :D.

I know buddy, as long as its running keep it. But u know if SOMEone would give it to me :), i wont say no. There is a guy on elmazad selling his q6600, but he is ripping ppl of. I am not paying 100$+ for a cpu, since i wont use it just to keep it as a memory.

Oh eyas gtx 680, ehem, so here is the botom line of the card. FAST,CHEAP(ish),COOL,LOW NOISE. Its a bit on my angry side duo to turbo boost and how the card is capped..etc But hey these things will be removed with non-reference designs. And sadly since my gtx 460 HAWK, i am non-reference guy for life...
