now testing autopilot stuff and fine tuning it !!!

next is the weight lift test. i am planning to carry a 6 pack and take pictures of it.
then im improving the design for the gimbal and i will match the two together and start taking some cool videos in a safe reliable way.

on a side note, it's obvious we have a bunch of robotics geniuses here! from UAVs to Octocopters and UGVs. So it got me thinking maybe we could have some sort of small expo/competition and maybe get some media coverage for this! I mean this is something actually worth reporting and all, and plus it would be really fun! what do you guys think?

i have a friend, i can ask him to get his robot too. its a very very professional one. total cost for his project was around 20,000$ no it does not launch rockets, but rather it is used in studios and places like that it has a moving head and wireless communication. it is supper cool.

and i can display a kevlar made UAV. it is one of a kind, really reliable plane totally made in Lebanon.
and my OCTO would have reached a good point after all the testing :) "hopefully"
and i have another quad copter design that is done and being assembled by a friend :) very simple electronics but looks amazing, i designed everything and it was lazer cut and all.

so as you can see i am excited. but i don't know anything about organizing things :)
and i have no clue where this can be held and who to tell and who to talk to.
so if there is anyone out there who can organize it. it would be so cool.
on a second thought i might be able to find a place.
i think we should open a new thread for this topic in case we find interest from other people.
oh oh just remembered this thread! it goes a while back and its locked. Now i was thinking more of an expo than a battle (who really wants to see his robot getting fried :P) but still it's worth checking out, many ideas there too.
