Looks wicked, Mounirz. Welcome aboard. Did you take it for a test drive? Does it work? And what's with the Nescafe mug shot? It runs on coffee or something?
i took it for a test flight and it actually is very good. still have to fine tune some stuff and test the autopilot. and i had a weird problem with the sonar but i think i dealt with that turned out to be an easy fix still have to test it though.
and no its me who runs on nescafé hehehehhe
Very nice work mounirz.
can you post a video of the flight
i will do that hopefully very very soon.
Very nice job +1. It would be great to see a video of it flying.
Pretty awesome! ^^

Can it fly indoors?
Hey Guys . I am working on my own Quad copter with GPS and water testing capabilities. If someone who know about this stuff can PM i would be eternally grateful. :) I am using The Ardupilot fr control and Arduino Deumalov for water and camera control.

you can fly it indoors even if you don't have gps link.
it uses the magnetometers to stablize.
but you need some space like a basket ball court or something like that. not a living room as big as ours :)

Mannnn thanks, i was sure i will find you here :) hehe we should fly together and take pictures of them.
Mr. Anderson wrotecan you post schematics and a how to guide?
not possible, at least not in this life time :)
i have it all in my head and would be more than happy to answer any question you have.
for the camera, are you using a video cam or a point and shoot camera?
if you are using a videocam, do you have a wireless video stream from the octo copter that you can view on your PC for example

currently i am using a GoPro II on it for testing purposes only, later on we can have any kind of camera on there as long as it does not exceed 1.5kg. the gimbal i designed is mainly for the DSLR out there, note that the camera gimbal has a separate 500TV line camera with a video TX but currently not installed but this is the plan. i have the parts laying around :) the person controlling the camera will have virtual goggles + head tracking so that wherever they look the camera points. why have both ? a camera other than the payload cam. well the thing is i want it to be so easy in a way you can change cams without even thinking of how to take video feed from the cam installed in the gimbal !!! this way the cam on the gimbal will give you not 100% as the camera in the gimbal but can be close enough. because usually when filming from the air they use a wide angle and once that is the case you will not face a problem.
Great Video, Liked the techno music more though :D
But really Impressive.
