  • Ordering books to Lebanon

Hello ,
I saw many books in Amazon that I want to read , so I checked libraries in Lebanon (Antoine , Virgin.. ), they told me that they no longer have/get old books (how can you call yourself a major library without the ability to provide a book) .

So i am considering the alternative :
Does anyone know how can I order a book to Lebanon directly from amazon or via some 3d-party company?

PS: I want a hard copy , I am not a fan of digital copies .

Thank you
Ironically Antoine and Virgin can get you those Hard Copies from Amazon but cost a bit extra

also there are 2 other approuches

directly order from amazon or amazon uk

or deal with Aramex. they will give you a US / UK address were you ship them to that address and they bring them to you
Books & CDs can be ordered directly from amazon.com to Lebanon.
I don't see why he would possibly resort to using the services of third party companies such as Aramex, as it would cost more.

Well you must own a credit card or internet card in order to order directly.

and then there is the shipping cost.
Can you give me more info on ordering from Amazon directly .

How is it done ?
Address provided ? ( How to Fill the Address bar & be accurate about it )
readability ?
Personnel experience ?
Long time ago I ordered a bunch of Amazon books through a company in Lebanon who took care of it. Some books would only be delivered to the US. This company had a US PO-Box and they took care of it.
I think the name was MBE... or something for "Mail Boxes Etc". I'm guessing they closed since...
I'm sorry it might not be great help :)
Seems Aramex does that nowadays. I'd probably go for them if I had to do this now.

If that's the only problem, get one. And the shipping cost is surely going to be higher if you use the services of a third party. Some books though will only ship inside the US, so you'll have to use a 3rd party in this case.
Order directly from Amazon, yes you need an internet card, shipping is not too expensive [I think it was $15 per order and $7 per additional book, look it up on their site]

Shipping books through Aramex will be prohibitively expensive.

Yeah i second this.
I would like some more info on this too.
Amazon.com shipping charges to Lebanon can be viewed at http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_navbox_596184_ways?nodeId=596204

Try to order all your books in one go, so that you don't have to pay the "per shipment" fee more than once.

Regarding the address, just use your regular home address. Libanpost will deliver them to your doorstep.

And in case you don't have a debit or credit card, you can buy an internet card. I believe several banks offer that (you might even find some in bookstores such as books&pens).
I got a free Aramex account and I registered. What do I do now?

How is it done?: Sign up for an Amazon account, choose what you want - pay for it.
Address provided ? : Put your address. Add a phone number.
readability ? Books, in general, tend to be readable, not much point in them otherwise.

Aramex charge by weight, this will be a lot more expensive than shipping with Amazon.
I think that all the info you guys are asking is on the web, on the Amazon website and probably on the Aramex one too, if not you can call them. So why are you asking here?

Thanks for your feedback.

And no you cant order electronics directly from amazon, they only ship books overseas
I used to order from Amazon as well. Sometimes the books would never arrive. I now opt for eBooks, as it's much easier for me to collect highlights, notes and bookmarks for future references.

If you are less adventurous, Librarie Antoine can order books from Amazon for you, they usually come after a month.
I'm interested in buying books for amazon, they have such great books and low prices.
For example if i want to buy this book how much it'll cost? I'm considering the 9dollars offer though.
And i have a bunch of books name for A. Maalouf.
Note: A question: should i consider the amazon 20dollars offer to be eligible to amazon shipping to lebanon or what?
Thanks in advance.
I also used librarie Antoine, what I loved about it was that you could pay cash when the books arrived. though to be honest if the book is not in Lebanon it will take from 3 weeks onward.
I've ordered dozens of books from amazon, some through standard air mail, some next day shipping.

All books arrived.

I've never really like E-Books, I like the smell of books!
Actually amazon ships some electronics, not all but some.
Change your address to a lebanese one, and try the should not tell you 'we can't ship this item'.
I was able to order a new HDMI cable for 3$ which costs like 70$.
