survival mode is very addictive, I made it to wave 26, alone, but on regular difficulty, map="seatown" I'm still level 22, I wanna keep playing to see the other weapons unlocked! I CAN'T STOP PLAYING!!!! :P

That sucks! Though there are two solutions, If you got the steam version from Virgin (You already got the cd) then there is a workaround on the internet to force the pc to install from your cd rather than from the internet. If there is no cd then you ask for your money back on steam (maybe? given that you did not download it) and buy the version from Virgin (They have the PC version).

IF you are implying if you can play online with a pirated version .. then no, not that i know of at least.
I just dont want to download it again :) 14GB is a huge chunk considering the general quota available.

Hey a while ago I entered mw3 MP menu (ps3) and noticed that my NAT was strict. So I followed some steps (DMZ thing, static ip thing) and solved the prob. Now my NAT is open. But I still am a bit worried. Can this affect my DSL? I have a Sagem modem
Ya I followed the steps, but still I have strict, my friend tells me I should change my router. Though I don't notice a lag anymore,

just copying and resuming worked for me :)

No worries at all. Have fun.

For the issues of Open NAT, for the most part, the friendly way is just doing it via your DMZ option on your Modems, and then setting up a manual connection correctly on your PS3 ... it should be fine then on

As for PC, the only way i can fix this is to either use the hot fix i posted a while back which must be done every time you restart your PC (a way of getting around the restart is to just hibernate)

Anyway the more full proof solution is using Putty to telnet to your modem and forwarding the ports. This is more or less a permanent solution (the reasoning behind so is simply because the shitty thompson interface refuses to forward ports via web user interface)

anyway a flaw with this method is SOMETIMES if you turn off the modem and back on, your NAT type will be strict for some reason.

Not really a "solution" after all but then again i don't like hibernating my PC all the time.

I have in mind trying one more thing; i think it will work for sure, if so ill share

It wont be easy and i really dnt have the time for it right now.

While 2 weeks ago i was easily getting games <150ms
Anybody else experiencing such problems ?
I guess you guys tackled this before, but where can i get genuine MW3 for PC? Virgin ABC is out of stock.

Your ping might have become high; above 200ms
In CMD window, test your ping to www.google.com. If it is above 200ms then COD online multiplayer won't get you into sessions.

the issues with the thompson modems, as far as all my tests have shown over the past 2 weeks, is the fact that the thompson will fail to forward multiple ports part of one application

AFK, the thompson modem is friendly towars PS3 and Steam protocols ... so need to forward the ports for them

Simply forward port 3074 (ANY) and you should attain open NAT

NB1:

PS3 users must assign a static IP to your PS3

PC users, the thompson modem and windows protocol make this easy for you, i.e. your PC will stick with the same IP that it first got with the thompson, so simply just port forward to your current IP as seen on your modem interface

NB2:

PS3 users, you MAY attain moderate nat type from this ,,, its very off chance that this happens, yet an additional DMZ should solve ALL your problems

Basically the problem from the start is from this shitty thompson modems that we have - as i said, forwarding multiple ports in the same application will lead to NO ports being forwarded at all

Anyway doing what i said should let you attain OPEN NAT

Then again there is always the way of forwarding via putty if you do not wish to go through the hassle of assigning a static IP to your PS3 - yet with this method you must do it every time your thomspon looses connection or is otherwise turned off then on

Im not sure how it works with other ISP's

But with Ogero at least, the IP range that begin with 94. etc seems to be the best concerning latency ... so keep connecting and disconnecting till you get an IP in that range.

Im getting "Couldnt run image xp" something like that whenever im starting the game. And i opened that batch setup file from the directory of the game more than one time !

Please help guys

hey guys, i play mw3 online on the ps3 and all i've been finding are games with pings >150 ms. Just yesterday the game found me a lobby that was <150ms and it was full of lebanese guys. Did i just get lucky or is it possible to choose a lobby or find a lobby or something...i need to experience that latency again.
If this has already been discussed give me the link to where it was discussed please.
Hey guys anyone being able to find games on ps3 with ping lower than <100ms?

I'm being able to find games with ping <125ms all the time. But never below.

@pak, what i do is if while looking for games it gets above <125ms i quit and start searching again. (it always finds games tries to connect, sometimes it fails and starts looking for games <150ms that's where i start searching again)
