Let's keep it simple then
Mtctouch:3.9G
Alpha:3.5G
We can discuss it from today till the 4G arrives to lebanon but,
That's what the machines indicate...No one can doubt it...
thanks

Hi there,
Anybody knows where I can find the exact frequency bands used by Alfa and mtc touch?
I found only the The Lebanese National Frequency allocation Table (LNFT) but there are no specifications about the bands used by Alfa and Mtc.
Someone can help?

In network settings choose "umts" rather than dual mode, hassan.sh wroteHello all I donnu if someone had this problem - I have a nokia E71 - I made the setting as mentioned in MTC website to get (( 3G )) to E71 - but since I got the settings from MTC and started using internet I am only getting E letter - I thought it is a mater of my area but wherever I go I never get 3G sign and the connection is too slow as if it is WAP

my friend has a nokia device and when choosing the dual mode it just takes "GSM" and the E (Edge) network is chosen.
Nokia.com :
""Select Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Network .
To select the network mode, select Network mode and Dual mode, UMTS, or GSM. In the dual mode, the device switches automatically between networks.
Tip:
UMTS enables faster data transfer, but may increase the demand on battery power and reduce the battery life. In regions close to both GSM and UMTS networks, selecting Dual mode may cause constant jumping between the two networks, which also increases the demand on battery power.""
hope this helps ;)
