hdd fail cannot cause bsog, it can cause random freezing or maybe a sudden restart, but no bsod (ive been through failing hdd)

Actually it can. If it has bad sectors or somthing, it can cause bsods. But OP you still didnt photo the bsod, in the bios you can change somthingthat will keep the bsod untill you press space,iirc.
