I've tried to connect at 07:30 am, but I wasn't able to connect to the internet and the problem was still existing.
Yea me too, they are having a lot of problems lately. Where my internet gets disconnected and never connects...
Mine too, I usually just restart the modem and it goes up again.
AvoK95, yup that sometimes happens to me too. But these two days it seemed like another issue. I tried restarting several times it wasn't even connecting. I forgot to check the router log to see the exact problem.
I've called them yesterday at 12:30 am, the operator machine answered: "We currently have a problem on the DSL", the problem remained all night, my last "connecting" try was at 07:30 and it was unsuccessful.

Try leaving it off a few minutes.

I'm finding myself disconnected only if I download after 12 till morning..

I'd like to ask some question regarding IP addresses with Sodetel, if anyone can help, that'd be very kind.
The issue is that, most of the time, I am getting a weird type of IP address that I don't really understand. What is an IP address, of which the last digits change as soon as I refresh the page when I am in HTTP, and the real actual one is shown in HTTPS ?
To explain, when I go to http://www.whatismyipaddress.com, my IP address is shown as 212.AB.CDE.XYZ ; and as soon as I refresh the page, the XYZ part changes to another number (plus, the "Services" shows that mine is "Suspected Network Sharing Device", but back when the IP was normal, it showed broadband).
However, if I go to https://ip-lookup.net (it's not the difference of the website, but only that this one has HTTPS and the first one doesn't), I get my actual IP address, which does not change by every refresh, and looks like 93.ABC.DEF.GHI which is my legitimate IP address from which I can connect to my computer when running it as a server.

This quite irritates me for something related to running my computer as a server, but I won't put that in place now, I'd only like to get an explanation on the issue, which I think is something related to NAT, but apart from this abberviation that I barely know anything about, I don't understand much, so an easy, neat clarification is what remains required for now, and as a bonus, you can give me a solution !

And surely, thanks in advance.

Extra information: I connect via PPPoE on my computer using pppd and pppconf, which means that I am not behind any NAT from my router's side. But according to amibehindnat.com, and since that issue stated above started to appear, this is what I get:
Are you behind NAT?
Yes!
Your local ip is 93.ABC.DEF.GHI but your public one is 212.AB.CDE.FGH .
Yah, no more Public IPs... The ISP uses NAT also.
Since ipv4 new addresses are becoming rare, expensive etc...

Jad wroteI'm using the Sodetel 1Mb Unlimited plan since 12/02/2013.

I downloaded 55,010.56 MB so far (in 12 days), and the connexion is still acceptable for what I pay. I think I'm FUPed since the maximum speed is around 90 Kb/s but it's much better than most of the cable plans I used to get before going DSL (last time, I had VISP and it was horrible).

Upload is very good as well. P2P and streaming are not always at their best but it's still good compared to the average level I use to have in this country.
I've only used 5649Mb in about 15 days and I'm FUPed!! I play some PS3 games online but I wouldn't describe myself as a "heavy" gamer. Now that I'm FUPed, I can't even connect to a lobby!!! This is so frustrating! Youtube is crap and the Technicolor router provided by Sodetel is even crappier!! They will be hearing from me first thing in the morning lol
@russianbust..
it may be too late ! but dont apply at sodetel !
Their pings are back to 400ish again !

Guys, anyone else with unlimited plan experiencing high pings again ??
Just checked...ping is 62?? Lol i must be hallucinating lol 192kBps download
man, what plan are you with ?
am talking about unlimited plan ! anyone confirms ?

theoretically they should be the same ... but maybe they switched us to satellite cause we are unlimited.. ?
I'm not with the unlimited plan but I must say that during the last two months I've been very satisfied with the ping, it's been low and steady, except for five days at the end of the previous month where it hanged again at 350ms, but after that it's back to the 100 - 90ms and I'm pretty happy with it.
I am on the unlimited plan, thats why im hallucinating :P
@Adnan yes i kept having 80-100ms pings for months now !! in last months of 2012 and so far in 2013...
Until these last 3-4 days it became 350-400ms again !!!

@Rod ! there is only 1mbps unlimited plan !
How your download speed is at 192kb/sec ?
No idea man, the max it should be reaching is about 125kBps
And not to disturb your conversation, but does anyone know if Sodetel will be ditching its satellite crappy connections and keep steady latencies for everyone like other ISPs, or am I missing something here ?

By the way, I also once got a bit more than I should be having. I'm on the 2mbps plan:

it's 192 Kbps not KBps, it should ~900 Kbps kbps when normal.
