so 350 ms now instead of 370.not much of an improvement but hey I'll take anything

That's still shit.. if you're an online gamer you wont be satisfied until you have ~120 ms.. but Sodetel don't give a fuck about their customers anymore..they just want money just like every typical Lebanese f**kuser wroteaverage ping went down 20 ms on all gateways looks like

What dazzles me is, why don't these complains reach a higher level? It seems to me that our concerns only reach a mere support dude who is practically dictated what to say, in spite of how silly it was.romel wroteok so i unplugged my sodetel router for 15 days, came back to try and see if i get put on the fiber optics line ,but i still get a 450 ms no matter how many times i dc ,called the guys at sodetel and told them if i they cant fix my ping im stopping my subscription, they said their is nothing they can do unless i get a fixed ip for an extra 22$/month (so i said fuck that shit im sticking with my wise box :p at least i get my 180 ms ping back ) people who are thinking about getting an isp for gaming should back away from sodetel unless they can afford 100$/month...
correct my ping was 110 -115 , it is now 99-100user wroteaverage ping went down 20 ms on all gateways looks like

it's exactly what I have been saying for the past 3 pages :P there is no best ISP, there's always something, and you won't know what the something is until you are trappedph_black wroteI switched from terra net to sodetel , terra net abuse policy is harsh it lasts months
I had 2m the speed was 11 kb/s ridiculous but ping was good
I am happy with sodetel , i keep dc till get good ping and it lasts days ... and the speed is the best from what iv tried ( idm , terra... ) reaching 400kb/s on torrents .
There is no absolutely good company in lebanon , all have cons and pros
If you really want to push to ministry into something, why not go the path of making it easier to switch ISP's. It takes two months or more to switch ISP's now and on top of that, you will most likely have to do without an internet connection for a month or more. If it were easier to switch ISP's, it would give a message to them that if their service sucks, people will find other providers that give them a better service. Either let the ISP's do their job well and get rewarded or those who don't should fall to the wayside and go out of business--we would all be better off that way.Dirol wroteAnd @HotCreep: if you realy want to complain then let ALL OF US send calls or faxes to The Ministry of Telecommunications Complaints and central investigations department (http://www.mpt.gov.lb/contact.htm):

1-What we gonna tell them? we will tell them that sodetel is giving a complete-full-time fiber-optic backbones paths to companies over users without prior knowledge (We should have the right for 50% of fiber-backbones if they pretend not having enough bandwidths)
2-Their upload speed doesn't meet the 20% of the download speed according to the decree.

I have contacted ministry officials, some who are personal advisors of the minister. You'd be surprised to know that when I told him that I am considering changing ISPs, he had no idea that it would take 2 months. He thought it'd all be done in a couple of days. He said that he will see how to change that though.xazbrat wroteIf you really want to push to ministry into something, why not go the path of making it easier to switch ISP's. Yeah same here, even the IP addresses that used to give me a good ping are now giving bad pings. I called them and they said "fi daghet", and I asked them if they changed anything all i got was "eja 2arar men el 2idara" but that's it...no idea what they did but what probably happened is that they got some new subscribers and they gave them a good connection so they can feel happy. We (old subscribers) have to eat shit again since Sodetel is really altruistic...i have a 0.9 to 1.55 Mbps connection all day, a 500 Ping, and it's perfectly slow.HotCreep wroteThe DC/Connect thingie hasn't been working for about a week now. Been trying like 50 times daily. Things just keep getting better and better.
