Guys,
got upgraded tonight from 2 Mbps to 4 Mbps and, yes, apparently getting lower pings around 90% more by verifiying the Backbone IPs Pool by reconnecting multiple times...
**I will post a speedtest.net image during the week because the download/upload speeds suck right now..maybe because of the rain...
Some of what have been noticed are:
2 Mbps (Old): 4 Mbps (New):
Some IPs Pool had low pings: Almost all IPs Pool have low pings and composed of:
3-5% of the left side good pings IPs Pool + 89-97% of
of the following:
From 93.126.
146.xxx from 93.126.
170.xxx
to 93.126.
157.xxx to 93.126.
180.xxx
Latency/Ping:
Varies between 135-115ms Latency/Ping
of New IPs Pool: Almost 109-105ms
(2 months ago, I used to get very few pings of Reply from 209.85.148.105:
108ms in between IPs but didn't save them, like Minimum = 105ms, Maximum = 108ms, Average = 106ms
the ones above) **
Noticed once or twice: 100-99ms
Reply from: 173.194.41.113:
(It was @93.126.
180.xxx)
Minimum = 99ms, Maximum = 100 ms, Average = 99ms
For those who are interested in trace routing: (4 Mbps-New Plan)
When: 109-105ms
Tracing route to
www.l.google.com [209.85.148.106]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 2 ms 2 ms 2 ms 192.168.1.1
2 44 ms 40 ms 41 ms DSL-pool1.sodetel.net.lb [93.126.180.1]
3 42 ms 40 ms 40 ms 89.108.149.117
When: 100-99ms
Tracing route to
www.l.google.com [173.194.41.113]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 2 ms 2 ms 2 ms 192.168.1.1
2 41 ms 41 ms 41 ms DSL-pool1.sodetel.net.lb [93.126.180.1]
3 39 ms 43 ms 41 ms 89.108.149.117
..........
Why?! the previous "LOW" pings IPs were somehow higher than the new ones. Anyway i'm no longer interested and Sodetel thing causes headache.
Also, if other ISPs have same latency, i will switch because even unlimited night traffic at 12 AM instead of 11 PM is annoying...
having work the next day and the need to sleep :P.....Am i going to consume almost daily HD youtube videos, voice chat, or video conferences from my own pocket of GBs at 11 PM!
As for online gaming, i haven't tested if better or not yet...
Hope that helps....
