Yes the Interleaver depth on my modem is weird, before I didnt give it any attention, but I have been checking it others modems and no one has it as high as me but no problem as long as I am getting a good connection.
As for the speed I am enjoying a real 3-4 Mbps connection all the time since November, I can hit the 500 KBytes/s download speed when using a download accelerator.
This is a speed test done now:

The only downside with Sodetel, is they still route the majority of residential users through satellite connections, however I keep disabling / enabling the wan interface on my modem until I catch an IP from the "fiber" pool, its annoying but I can live with it ;)
Werid, your ping is still high if you are connected to the fiber network. My ping on speedtest to europe is in the 80's

It's not high, i'm on the fiber network all the time and it's never below 100.
Well that test was done yesterday night and my brother was browsing at the same time I think, that's the lowest I cant get from Europe with my current setup:

How do you have low pings ? What package are you using ?

It is not related to what package you pick, it's more a combination of good SNR, low attenuation, clean infrastructure ( copper cables, relays etc..) distance to CO and of course ISP.

Regardless of the bandwidth you have, you will still get the same ping.

I currently have the 4 Mbps package but as Kareem mentioned it is not related to the package speed itself rather than the whole combination. I used to have the same low pings on my old 512k connection (Even lower when I was on fastpath).
Aly could you please specify what u mean by disabling/enabling wan interface to catch an ip from the fiber pool?
Just i need to know how can i catch an ip from the fiber pool cause my ping is shit!! its 400-500ms night and days
i have the 2mbs package from sodetel bit as i see ur ping is around 80 ms (to Europe) and ur package is 4 mbs
well i dont see a big difference between mine and yours. its only the modem!! mine is speedtouch Thomson.

He probably means rebooting the router until you get an IP routed to the fiber pool.

Thomson speedtouch modem is excellent.
PAN when you turn on your modem, it authenticates and acquire a dynamic IP address, there is several IP pools on the ISP side, I think theoretically there is like 5% chance that you get an IP from the fiber pool and 95% that you get one from the Sat pool, that's why you get high pings the majority of the time, now to change your IP you basically have to reconnect to get another IP, to reconnect you can reboot your modem, this process might take minutes on the Thomson modem (I used to have one) but now I have a TP-Link, I telnet my modem and I simply issue commands to disable and enable the wan (like ppp down / ppp up / ping ... ppp down / ppp up / ping .... etc) until I get satisfied and catch an IP from the fiber pool, I have a UPS / moteur, so my modem is always on 24/24 and I hold this "low ping IP" for like day or two, when I loose it I repeat the process.
Now on Thomson I did not check it, you can telnet your modem and dig around, sometimes it takes about 40-50 attempts of disabling and enabling the wan to get what I want and other times from the first couple attempts, but on the bright side each attempt requires about 7s so no problem for me.
On Thomson, all you have to do is click disconnect/connect from the modem's braodband connection page. The best I can get is 98ms (ogero).

Is it possible to telnet a 'Thomson v7' ?
Dude i've tried over an hour enabling/disabling wan , reseting my modem , and anything else but the damn ping still the same :( . {Its all about luck :) } to catch a fiber ip.. but the strange in it why sodetel dont allow all ip's to be picked up from the fiber pool. What about the upgrading they speak for? .

Man i have my friend lives in bosnia he's download speed is about 30 MBS lolllll and his ping is 10ms . idk how its work. but this is crazy.. i bet this man can play online games with some aliens :))

Here the speed

and belal are u getting 98ms for all times or just a specific time and please tell me where do you live?
I think Im going to switch to ogero.

Of course it is possible, but as Belal mentioned you can go to http://192.168.1.254 and keep Disconnecting / Connecting its easier.
PAN Sodetel does not route all their customers on the fiber network like any other private ISP because they dont have sufficient bandwidth to handle it, second because fiber is better than sat, third because they have their own expensive packages which are on fiber 24/7 but the cost is high, someone said the 1 Mbps is for 65$.
Just to update, on my old adsl router last week i was getting an average of 200 in ping tests, now am getting an average of 140!

I've been using the Disconnect/Connect for quite sometime and it's been working like a charm. Today, i've noticed that it's not working anymore, i've been trying it for over an hour and getting the same 380ms ping. Anyone knows a way to fix this problem and make it work?
Ruroken I have done it today and it worked without any problem, maybe you are out of luck today ? sometimes it takes me 40-50 times and sometimes 2-3 times, keep trying I dont think they changed anything from their side.
You were right, after around 50 tries, it finally worked out :D.
is there any specific way to find out wether the ip you are getting is the one ur looking for? or you just do a ping test after each try ?

another thing: im a new sodetel subscriber in Mansourieh.
Had the 4 Mb account at first then they downgraded me to 1Mb claiming this is the max i can get..even though i had reached speeds of 3 Mb before...

Any thoughts about that? anyone else in mansourieh facing the same problem with Sodetel ?
