Mate, it was Axis who told you were looking at it from WoW point of view :P. I just listed my personal experience between the two.
I can't deny WoW wasn't an amazing experience, I can still taste it with all its raiding, seasonal events, RP, achievements (I had OVER 9000! achievement points) <--- true story, and pvp. However, at some point things just stood there, so I wanted to try something new. RIFT was worth the change. It is quite exciting to go right into action when you are just level 7-10 with defeating invasions and closing rifts aside from the quests.
