I dont think such movies can be done now with our current situation. Another 50 years and this type of movies can be done, the reason is that there are too many opinions and point of views about the war that people will start fighting over who was right and who was wrong.
Even the Civil War should not be put into history books right now.
Btw a friend of mine just saw the movie and he didnt like it that much, and he also gave me the same opinion as Mr Anderson posted here. Well the director is talented and all but I agree this is a very bad image of Lebanon.
