I'm looking to buy one of those or the Nexus S (i9020 only). Anyone wants to cell? Say your offer and I'll consider. I prefer the Galaxy S 2 but I'm waiting...

I just bought Galaxy SII for 500%,decided to ditch apple,now,i know nothing about android,the phone looks and feels great,i was told to DL samsung kies if i want to update my phone,any other suggestions,nice little advice,little stuff to tell me?

Guys I am now lost between the Sony Arc S & Samsung Galaxy S II due to the little price difference but to be honest I am more excited to get the Arc S rather than the SGS II cause it feels really nice

Any advice would be awesome, thanks!

arc s is a great device, no lags, great screen and considerably cheaper then galaxy s2; the latter is a more powerful device on every aspect, but the arc s is still a great device so if you like it go for it you wont regret it :D

samsung kies is slow to release updates for this region. use odin, a kies alternative where you can flash the latest rom available for your device found here:

Be careful as you can easily brick your device and it's very hard to find a repairman.

http://forum.xda-developers.com the world largest community of Android developers they could help you with flashing ROMs,rooting, etc etc.
the first thing to do if you are bricked is trying to fix it at home,you will find tons of helpful topics online,but few advices stay away from "Rom Manager" (even if don't know about it know you will know when you star using XDA) it could make things lot easier but the risk of bricking the phone is higher,ALWAYS make a nandroid backup (it mean back up your current ROM,Google it for more info) it could be a life (phone) saver in some cases.happy rooting :P

but I really want to change,because the SGSII looks similar to the original
and the sensation is inferior (spec. wise)
so any comments?

Look at the extra features, HTC i feel is better, but there is not warranty for it lebanon, ( i might be wrong)

Second if you want to mod you phone (Software), you can with HTC (without losing your warranty), but with samsung you would lose your warranty

Third Sensation has a nice feel and Grip.

But honestly if you can wait a bit longer and see the difference between those and Nvidia Tegra 3 chips or Exynos
hopfuly those would have a much better battery Life

I would choose HTC over Samsung anyday, the build quality on HTC phones is far better than the plastic Samsung.
But guess what? I am the proud owner of HTC Desire HD, and I wanted to upgrade to Sensation. But I couldn't find the Taiwanese model in Lebanese shops, only Chinese. So I thought to call MicroAge (HTC exclusive dealer in Leb).
The Sensation is usually $450 in most shops. But when I called MicroAge, they told me it's $750. That is $300 for the guarantee. When I asked if I could buy it without the guarantee he told me:" If you don't want the guarantee, I can sell you the fake ones".
At that point, my mind blew up and I'm still picking up the pieces. How come people like this have the HTC exclusivity? One thing is sure, HTC will hear about his.
Oh and guys, do you know where I can get a Made in Taiwan HTC sensation?

And what is the difference between the Taiwanese devices and the Chinese devices ? Or is it just Microage lying about it so they can sell their products ?
