  • Galaxy S II, Galaxy S, Sensation

I'm looking to buy one of those or the Nexus S (i9020 only). Anyone wants to cell? Say your offer and I'll consider. I prefer the Galaxy S 2 but I'm waiting for it to be 500$, looks like I will wait too long!

sgs2 price will fall very fast, various sammy phones are coming in september ;)
Personally I swapped my sgs2 with a sensation and I dont regret it a sec
I got the SGS2 for 480$ from a guy, the phone is like new and from Germany. Why do you prefer the Sensation over the S2 ?
Well deja physically it's way more ''class'' with its precious materials, you don't need any housing while sgs2 feels very cheap and need absolutly a protection.
Camera is nearly the same
Personally I preffer the Sensation screen, qHD and 16/9 design are amazing, colors are natural while on sgs2 its oversaturated and resolution is lower, sunlight lisibility is exatly the same!
The only unique thing less on sensation is the speaker volume which is very low.
Sense 3.0 UI is centuries ahead any other rom on sgs2...

I was thinking the same but how is battery life of the sensation compared to sg2?
Is in call speaker volume high enough? do you have problems hearing the other end in a noisy environment?

I have owned the Sensation for 2 months and I must say it's simply amazing.
I tested both phones and HTC Sense is waaaaay better than TouchWiz.
But you'll have to charge the Sensation daily and reduce brightness sometimes
The batteries are almost the same, you don't have to worry about them. Check both phones on GSMarena to know the difference in mAh
What about the touchscreen and deathgrip issues of the sensation ?
To the guys who have HTC Sensation:

Well IS is still a very good phone and it can handle custom Sense 3.0 roms, Sensation dual core's speed is still not used as expected, perhaps the next OS update will

Sensation is the best choice, it can't be compared to sgs2 at all.

To SGS2 owners: have you been able to update your Google Maps beyond 5.2.1?

The Android market tells me the newer update "is not available for my country."
You can download the apk from XDA, they always update it
Thank you, I searched and found 5.10.1 (didn't find it on XDA) and sideloaded it.

Now I can precache Lebanon's map info and keep it with me offline. Great.
Guys, if you want USB plugs (to attach a USB flash disk to your phone) for sgs2, htc senstaion, etc... the android phones, let me know by PM.
Someone is gonna bring me a 16gb class 10 from US for 30$ :P
My Sensation will be faster,specially in the multimedia part, here they don't even got class 6 lol

Edit: im about to get galaxy s2 16gb for 500 $ sealed i guess i saw arabic written on the box , is that good ? cause i dont like it, i dont need arabic on it ... or should i get one from the us ?
whatever you choose, do not choose htc. htc sense gives you a false experience of the android OS.
the galaxy s2 screen is worth bragging about!
