Try putting additional filter for that wall phone socket and make sure your ADSL Modem/Router is connected through the Main/Mother wall phone socket and through a filter, for sure.

My connection is good until the evening where sometimes the connection goes bad and youtube is often slow. Anyway, a tech guy told me today that it is currently slow because they're renewing to a new system and that it will make the connection better starting the first of June, so let's wait and see...
I've checked the wiring for phone lines in the house, there's one main line connected to the entire house and one going straight from the cabinet into my room, so i think i should be connected directly on the main line? correct me if i'm wrong.

About the upgrade on the system, i've been told that as well and that it's coming from ogero's side so the networks aren't running as they used too. Anyway, i tested things last night, and my internet has been very stable since i got the "fix" latency never changed even at night, but the connection speed did drop like crazy after 11pm, and i couldn't manage to pull off a speedtest then, it just wouldn't start, i checked ping google.come through cmd and i was getting 80ms, i got 1 request timed out, and to youtube.com 80ms as well but with 1 packet loss.
Yes. You're going right with your main wall phone socket.

Approximately, i'm experiencing same connection outcomes and issues in here. The speeds are currently low since Terranet system is being renewed. Let us wait for the first of June and see if things go better and stable and do not forget to try placing another filter to the disconnecting-issue room phone socket.
I have filters on all phones around the house since i subscribed to terranet, but not my modem, i was told it wasn't necessary but that was 4 years ago, so i might be remembering it wrong.
I have my modem and access point both connected to my UPS, yesterday my connection was running fine, i took a nap, woke up and there was a power cut, so was turning off pc and power came back, never turned off the UPS, turned pc back on, ran ping google.com and i was getting 300-500ms, turned off/on the modem and it didnt resolve, so i turned it off for a couple of mins and then turn it back on and ran ping google.com again and latency was back to normal, can the problem be my modem after all?

sorry for too much detail, i just don't know how to explain better, seems every time i turn off the modem for more then 1min it's fixing it, just putting as much details to know the problem ><
Are you connected to Terranet or Ogero? If you access your Terranet webpage account, what is written over there?

OK: Manipulate the electricity cut off state:
1-Connect to your ADSL modem directly with a cable.
2-Check your external IP addresse to Terranet; under ADSL connection menu or whatever, and save that IP in a notepad or whatever.
3-Cut off the power from your home.
4-Do multiple ADSL reconnections and test the ping to www.google.com on each attempt. Compare the external IP addresses and the ping results.

-If the external IPs change: your getting reconnected when the electricity goes off even though it is connected to a UPS
, and if the pings varies much: it is your pool of IPs having highly different pings when you reconnect each time.

-Otherwise: your networking devices are causing highly different pings.
ok, i used this to check my IP http://www.whatismyip.com/ i don't know how to do it any other way, although the web gives me 2 different IPs they were changing with each time i cut off the power directly from the modem and sometimes i got an ip that gave good results, sometimes bad results. I tried cutting the power to the ups only while modem is connected to it, nothing ever happened, IP(s) remained the same, so did the tests, but judging from what u said it did make sense to me cause sometimes my connection suddenly goes bad after a power cut or w.e, i couldn't recreate it to test the IP change as well, but i recall that it doesn't always happen.
Anyway, is there some sort of fix to this? should i contact terranet and tell them that i'm getting bad connection sometimes with different IPs? i don't really know what to tell them or how to explain i'm basically a newb to come to this and don't want to sound too smartass when i don't know what the heck i'm talking about, they turned down every call i ever gave them by manipulating the way they talk and i just want a solution to this.

Just want to add thanks a lot for all the replies, i appreciate the help. :)
Is Ogero down since yesterday in the achrafieh area?
Here's an update on sodetel. I applied for dsl end of dec 2011, until last week my status was feasibility. Until last week where my application was cancelled. The reason..... Apparently Ogero is not approving any more applications for them. NO MORE BANDWIDTH.
So I applied for dsl at ogero, I should be getting it tomorrow. Will keep you all posted on quality and speed.
I am on Cyberia but idm posted this:
May 2012 - We are pleased to inform you that starting May 8th, ADSL users can benefit from FREE download and upload from 11pm till 7am.
Is this available for ALL adsl users at idm?
Is this limited to a dozen of lucky guys (over thousands) like they did before?

Most probably for all, same as Terranet.
Why is Cyberia always the last to have the best?

Cyberia should have done free bandwidth overnight along with IDM & OGERO,

The limitation was from the DSLAMs not the ISPs, those on GDS had it initialy, and those on OGERO got the free overnight now because their centrals were upgraded
I'm an older post, I had stated that I had an hdsl from ogero and was not satisfied, too expensive and download not as stated (2.3 mb down) however the up had always been stable at around 1.8mb. So I stopped it and want to sell my expensive modem. And I just installed a new adsl from ogero, got the 1mb 10 gb quota plan, .....not bad at all. I'm getting around 200 ping, between 650 and 950 k down and about 400 up, for 38000 LL a month. Not bad at all. The only problem with ogero is that if you need support.....eh ensa :)
I'm planning on upgrading to the 2 mb plan if e connection stays stable.
Worth considering I think.
Called Cyberia, and yes they have unlimited downloads after 11pm :)
I was wondering why downloads were not crossing 60kbs at night ;)
I've had unlimited download after 11 pm from Cyberia for over 2 years.
What if i enter my number in the Availability Check and get "Double speed and unlimited night is currently not available"?

I guess that would be it. Either try with another ISP that is using a different DSP or go for a non-DSL option.
Anyone else having disconnect issues with Ogero, especially during the day? It seems that I have to reboot the modem a half dozen times during the day--it's especially bad before 10 am and is gone by 4pm, and surprisingly, there are no problems during the "free" period 12-7am.
Has any Ogero users checked their monthly usage? There seems to be something wrong...
for me:

consumption 9.7GB (rounded up to 10GB)
they charged me for 11GB, dunno why.
that's why i stick with prepaid cards with IDM, they cant charge me more that i already paid :)
