DG wroteAnyone with Ogero experiencing an extremely slow connection and lower than usual speeds when using speedtest ?
I have a 512kbps link and it normally hovers around 430kbps download speed. Since yesterday night I have been getting results as download low as 240kbps all the time.
Same here in Mtayleb (CO Antelias) with one of our two 512kbps connections.
In the modem configuration menu I noticed the broadband speed was reported to be around 200 so I turned the modem off/on and it's fine now, back to 512.
Although we have Ogero, I checked the IDM website and it says Ogero is doing some maintenance in the early hours of Feb 18, maybe they already started: "Feb. 2012 - Due to a maintenance activity carried out by Ogero, your internet will face a few intermittent disconnections on Saturday February 18, 2012 between 5:00am and 9:00am."
Account login is not working as of now on Ogero. It says "Server error: The Web Site is currently being updated. You can't currently view your bills, please try loging in later ....."
Oh and apparently those of us expecting something better than 256 and 512 but repeatedly told our lines are too weak, here's what I read today:

So The-MMMs was right, we should wait until the summer perhaps even fall, what a disappointment.
Those submarine cables should have been upgraded years ago and certainly not AFTER the broadband upgrade but BEFORE.
