Guys, just a quick reminder to avoid posting speed tests in this topic, the IMEWE topic is just for that. Let's reverse this topic for Q&A. Thanks.
so i had this perfect improvement for the past couple of days when it came to latency.
I found games on MW3 <125ms, no lag watsoever, plain perfect.
luckily i tracert to see what the change was :

i have some questions about Ogero dsl

- is that true ogero will not give me the modem username and password ??
- can i check how many mg i use every and each day ?
- i see on my neighboorr wifi from ogero that the security type is WEP , how can i make my wifi security type WPA2 ? can i ask them to make it for me ?

thank you
For Thomson routers, you can backup settings with a tool released by speedtouch, once you reset your modem you just restore the settings and no more visit to ogero or others.

-No, they won't. However they will upon request
-Yes you can check how much quota you have by going to www.ogero.gov
-You have to go to your modem and change it yourself. I also recommend changing the SSID , because there are software that can generate the password.
I have read some complains about IDM and the the high latency. So i have traced google.com and have noticed new or different routes.

Trace complete.
What is this FiberLink43.lynx.net.lb [62.84.66.43]?
And this unknown.Level3.net [212.113.15.186]?

I have never seen those two before, even after November 2011.
Note: My ISP is IDM.
Why do you even care? they have not impact on latency as I see from your traceroute.

BTW, unknown.level3.net belongs to the international routeset; I get that too on Ogero.
To IDM pre-paid users,

Regarding the possibility of accumulating the unused quota from 1 month to the other, does this extra quota remain in my account as long as I dont use it or is it lost if unused after a certain period (like 3 months or so)?

Thank you!
@kareem_Nasser : Friday was the 1st day i get that
FiberLink43.lynx.net.lb [62.84.66.43]
, it was a normal night logged in to PSN , looked for a MW3 game and BAM <125 ms, i was shocked to be honest, so i rushed over to my laptop and tracert , and compared it to my previous results.
Remember SATGATE ? when i was on SATGATE i used to find games <250 ms with definite lag.
But now on that fiberlink, lynx i'm getting <125ms
SO IT'S GOOD ! :D
@kfc the Maximum accumulated quota is 30GB.
I'm not sure if it's lost when u fail to recharge on time, but what i do know is that u have idle days.
Example : let's say your deadline is the 10th, and you recharged on the 8th; Idle days : 2
The following month you're gonna have to recharge on the 8th, but considering you have 2 idle days, you have the possibility to recharge on the 10th, without loosing your accumulated quota.
However you don't have internet access during those 2 days.
What you CAN do is get 3x IDM recharge cards, you login and you add the serial numbers to your cart, and set them to automatic recharge.
That way, by the end of the 3rd month you'll have 30 accumulated GB, with 0 idle days.

Thanks Chup but you probably misunderstood my question.

Let's say I am in month 1 and I have already accumulated 30 GB. During the next period (let's say 6 months), I keep recharching 2Meg/10GB each month and I only consume those 10GB/month without touching my previously accumulated 30GB. Do those accumulated 30GB remain in my account forever as long as I dont use them or do I lose them if I dont use them after a certain period?

Sodetel says that for the extra 1GB cards: The unused Extra Volume of this card has a grace period of 3 months to expire. .
Yea that was my case, i've had 30GB for the past 4 months now =)
سؤال : انا عندي كمبيوتر ثابت وما في واي فاي , اقدر استعمل
USB Wireless internet D-link
حتى لو كان الدي اس ال موديم غير نوع ؟؟؟
Chup wroteYea that was my case, i've had 30GB for the past 4 months now =)
Did you take a high plan for the 2 free months, gathered this big quota then downgraded your plan?:D
nop, got accumulated throughout the 2 years i've been with them
i can't be bothered to call or downgrade it, i'd pay the extra 10$ i don't care :P
AvoK95 wrote-No, they won't. However they will upon request

Ogero will give the username and password if you request them,
Contact support and they will give you an email of a guy who can give you the administrator password.

Once you have this password you can backup the modem settings and then decrypt them to get the pppoe password.

It was discussed somewhere on this board, I don't remember the thread.

But my idea is nice for a new subscriber, no? :D

Anyway, how has your experience with IDM been so far? What plan are you on now and what speed are you really getting)? (please mention the central)
Guys, a reminder: please use the IMEWE topic for posting your speed and latency tests.
