Are there any phone cables that reduce the electricity noise effect? When power goes off my snr jumps by 4-5 dB. Also yesterday my neighbors had an electricity problem and while the electrician was fixing it my crc errors reached 2000+. Thank you
i got almost a half confirmation that ogero is capping the speed @10mb now

so i contacted support and i said during the openspeed i got 15mb download and now i'am getting 10mb , he said its true but we were working with a different profile , now we changed the profile and your line will get only 10mb

so basically it's a sneaky way of saying we are capping it to 10mbps
don't bother so much with changing your phone cables , my line can handle 5mb more than i'am getting and they say they are working with a different profile now =)))))))

what a fucking laughable answer that was , i'am almost chocked on the phone with the support
Don't make early assumptions, because it might be higher margin requirements, as if its too low, they will get modem reboots.
Or guy might be not aware, what exactly are this profile, i suspect support there dont have direct access to DSLAM.
Nuclearcat sorry but you're wrong , i downloaded arround 200gb that open speed day at 14-15mb 0 error and 0 disconnection , yes they are capping it at 10mb
even the support admitted they are using a different profile now , and the open speed day had another profile , so basically from what i understand if u're line handle 15 u'll get 10 if 17 u'll get 12-13 etc etc thats what he probably mean by a different profile

ManOwaRR - they cannot base their profiles on one user, so, also sorry, your example not representative.
I will give you example.
For example if 85% users don't have problems as you, with margin N db, but 15% users due evening noise increase getting disconnected (they need higher margin, to not be disconnected). Can Ogero sacrifice 15% users and leave them without connection at night, so 85% of remaining users can get a bit higher speed?
And i believe it is temporary, they can have automated system soon, that will just make several profiles and based on user analysis assign him suitable one. So, then all 100% will be happy, 85% get higher speed, and 15% wont be disconnected.
well first my example was based on facts that happened i got 15mb during test and 200gb download with 0% disconnection 0% error

now i'am getting 10mb , what changed my line got worse we both know it didn't happen so basically they capped it one way or another

so i'am sorry again , no need for much detail over this , it's not even worse arguing since those are facts and how things happened without the technical issues that ogero is facing , due to the increase traffic and bad infrastructure
Hello guys, i recently changed my home phone line, went from 4.5mbps to 11mbps but now every hour or so i get a rush in CRC error it goes to 40K errors and the modem restarts(or i restart the modem my self). what can be the problem here ?
my line stats
http://prntscr.com/g782gq
I have a lot of CRC errors too although I have a "clean" line and not bad stats, no electrical interference as far as I tested, I called them 6 times, they kept switching fastpath on and off and resetting which only changed the ping but not the errors and packet loss until now one of the support staff told me there is a bridging and programming problem on my line, he will send an email for it to be fixed tomorrow from their side. I have never heard of such a problem and why only this guy found it, I'll wait and see tomorrow.

I'm surprised our download average is even that high! I'm guessing it must have taken the excellent "unleash the speed" results heavily into account as there's still a good number of people who haven't gotten the upgrade meant for this month.
IDM upgraded my speed again, currently on an 16mbps connection

I was at 8mbps on August 2, emailed them twice, they upgraded my speed to 13mbps with a SNR of 13.5dB, then I emailed them again that the speed is still lower than what my line can handle. They tried to convince me that if they up the speed even more my line will start disconnecting, I insisted that my line can easily handle 16mbps. At last, the support contacted me today and said we will upgrade it to 16mbps but you might face regular disconnection.

All running fine now, SNR dropped by 3dB.

What's your lowest SNR margin now? (usually at night with all the lights)

Same getting like 50,000 CRC sometimes, and it's getting worse day by day and starting to become annoying that I have to restart the modem every hour or so, how can I fix

may i ask which modem do u have?(just in case we have the same one) having same CRC errors aswell.

You may be having noise "surges", only solution is to lower your speed or to find the source of interference (if there is any).

any tips on finding the interference ?
