Because your SNR Margin is probably very high. The lower the SNR Margin, the higher the actual rate.
Basically most ISPs outside lebanon have SNR marging around 6-9 dB. Below 6 dB you will start experiencing disconnections.
If I were you, I would reduce the SNR marging to 6.8 dB ( -9 dB ) I bet you'll get 16 Mbps easily.
It's both but normally the downrate is what matters here because of the bitrate.
6 is too low for a 4mbps ^_^

Anyway, your downstream SNR margin is too low and your attenuation is way high from someone living 500m away from CO
I live 800m away from the CO and my attenuation is 14 and not 27
Hello guys, anyone tried or knows someone who tried their "DSL without phone line" service ? is it applicable now or we have to wait for it ?
Anyone with IDM has a speed of 500K-1M on fast.com? It seems most things are cached, no?
Except yesterday I was getting good speeds around 8mbps, but yesterday was an exceptional case because they have troubles and several users here also reported the sameJohnaudi wroteAnyone with IDM has a speed of 500K-1M on fast.com? It seems most things are cached, no?
You guys are luck i get better stats 20 atenuation and 12 snr and they limited me to 9.999 (not limited its the max i can handle thats what they told me :)) anyway i switching to ogero.wollyka wroteAre you with IDM? the Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 766 / 13.997 seems like the one locked by IDM.sailor wroteMy SNR Margin is 20 or 6 ?Kareem wrote

OK so basically Ogero guys were helpful. After a dispute they agreed to check from their side and said they will fix it on monday.
They did !!!

that's interesting, who's offering that service?roudy5 wroteHello guys, anyone tried or knows someone who tried their "DSL without phone line" service ? is it applicable now or we have to wait for it ?
I think ogero are, i remember seeing a tweet about it its a solution for people who can't have a phone line due to CO capacity, i guess i'll tweet Mr. Imad to confirm if it's true and can be used as of now.ballad wrotethat's interesting, who's offering that service?roudy5 wroteHello guys, anyone tried or knows someone who tried their "DSL without phone line" service ? is it applicable now or we have to wait for it ?

I tweeted to him about this issue long ago, and he said yes its possible.roudy5 wroteI think ogero are, i remember seeing a tweet about it its a solution for people who can't have a phone line due to CO capacity, i guess i'll tweet Mr. Imad to confirm if it's true and can be used as of now.ballad wrotethat's interesting, who's offering that service?roudy5 wroteHello guys, anyone tried or knows someone who tried their "DSL without phone line" service ? is it applicable now or we have to wait for it ?
Strange today my friend at work called them about it and at 1515 they said it isn't available yet, could the agents be misinformed ?AVOlio wroteI tweeted to him about this issue long ago, and he said yes its possible.

So guys, for those who didn't get the speed update, who's excited as me to finally (and hopefully) get the update today?
The question is.. Are we going to get the upgrades today?
- Edited
My money is on No. Knowing Ogero, they're most probably going to postpone it to next week's billing cycle.iron wroteThe question is.. Are we going to get the upgrades today?
Hope I'm wrong though, for the sake of us all.
I just asked him he said they were only testing back then and they are working on implementing it, it's not ready yet though.. :/AVOlio wrotehttps://ibb.co/depJHFroudy5 wroteStrange today my friend at work called them about it and at 1515 they said it isn't available yet, could the agents be misinformed ?AVOlio wroteI tweeted to him about this issue long ago, and he said yes its possible.

So it's normal to have SNR margin between 9 and 11? Or Ogero should fix it soon?

If some one did not get the upgrade after the 5th of August the upgrade will take place in the next billing cycle effective the 1st of September mentioning that to me when they called me yesterday and telling me they are sorry for this issue.. This is my case , since the Ogero operator on Whatsapp missed sending my I.D - Request of Change was on the 17th of July.mohammadk97 wroteSo guys, for those who didn't get the speed update, who's excited as me to finally (and hopefully) get the update today?
Yesterday I raised this issue through twitter for Mr. Kreidieh , Ogero Telecom , and an IT/Network Engineer at Ogero with the twitter account of (@musta_mt). Mr. Kreidieh replied on my tweets with Ogero Telecom for Ogero intervention (since I blamed Ogero for this delay) and this engineer on private messages.
Check my twitter account
Ihab Issa (@Ihabzii)

for the tweets I made for Mr. Kreidieh concerning that , the final conversation between me and Ogero (after Kreidieh request to take action) and after send my DSL number:
Ogero Telecom
"We already have your landline and L number registered on the new plan
We're just waiting for the system to process the request and you'll get your speed Ihab"
Me
"And when the new plan will be activated. Is it possible to activate it before 1st of September since I have been waiting since July for the upgrade."
Ogero Telecom
Dear Ihab, expect the change soon.
