ahb21 wroteQuick and stupid question, is the DSL cable you plug in the wall the same as an ethernet cat5/6 cable? Or are they fundamentally different?
I'm wondering because I'm currently using a very thin DSL cable and was wondering if I replace it with a normal cat6 ethernet cable that my stats would change for the better.
Any ideas?
The main difference between these two is in where they are actually used.
RJ45 jacks are used in networking, where you connect computers or other network elements to each other.
RJ11 is the cable connector that is being used in telephone sets.
