Still 4mb 50gb expire 28 july
My modem is synchronizing at 12997 since months now but my speed is capped at 8 Mbits. IDM/GDS and mazraa CO. When i asked IDM, they told me they upgraded the centrale but their limiting my PPPOE connection at 8 Mbits.hishjwnz wroteGuys what does it mean when my router indicates that my max rate has increased to 4Mb/s while the actual speed is still around 2 Mb/s.
I'm on IDM and the same has happened at my sis (Sodetel) although she has a max of 18 Mb/s and speed still at 4 Mb/s

how can I do so?Adnan wroteHave you tried syncing on adsl2+ instead of g.dmt ?jazzzar wrotehttps://image.ibb.co/h98C0F/Untitled.png
I can officially confirm the upgrade too, that just happened like 10 minutes ago, I was on the 2Mbps 40GB plan which got upgraded to 4Mbps 50GB
EDIT : nvm, just searched for that through my modem settings, and switched it from G.DMT to adsl2+, connection did reset and it kept showing G.DMT under modulation
Ok weird. I usually get higher speed on 2+.
On another note I called sodetel again for my attenuation problem and they said that their outdoor team will come and check my line. I'm a little surprised that they have one.

Would anyone be kind enough to explain in details how one would go about upgrading/managing your cables from the phonebox to your home?
How or where will I find the phonebox?
What kind of cable should is used and where can I buy the cable?
How exactly would I hook up the cable from the phonebox to my home? Did you guys have a third party do it for you? How much did it cost?

if you are unexperienced with such things its better to let a professional do it. however, use cat 5e cable (twisted) as a minimum and tell the person who will be doing it to stay away as much as possible from any power cables that would cause interference.ahb21 wroteWould anyone be kind enough to explain in details how one would go about upgrading/managing your cables from the phonebox to your home?

I called IDM to ask about VDSL. They replied that the service is not available now and that they would call me again next week to let me know about its future availability.

And not i didnt feel the upgrade. Only the stats of the modem changed, but in reality speed and quota are still the same,
Yesterday night I got 15mb/s on speed test but only 650kb/s download (it should be above 1mb/s download speed)
Now 3.2mb/s, on speed test not even my usual 4mb/s!!

this month I messed up forgot to recharge my unlimited night traffic and thought that I did so I did not monitor my night time traffic and ended up consuming 80 % of my quota in 9 days.kfc wroteI sure will next week and if they really keep their word and contact me.Silentcontrol wrotekeep us updated if they give you the news?kfc wroteI called IDM to ask about VDSL.
