Guys if I bought a new modem router (TP-link VR900), do I need anything other than the PPPOE username and password and the vpi/vci of Ogero (0/35) in order to be able to configure it properly?
EDIT: The reason I'm asking is that I remember once reading that the connection could be binded to the MAC address of the old ogero modem I currently have (ST546).

I guess you need the vlan id, in order to get vdsl working and you should do a feasibility test before all that

Then nothing else than vci and pppoe

Georges01 wrotehey guys, my upstream line attenuation is 13.4.
the max rate shown is 556 kbps, is this the max upload that can be achieved with adsl2+ or is it the max my modem can handle or is it due to something else?
it is your line , maybe you are far from the co
these are my stats:
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 38.4 27.0 db
Line Attenuation 23.4 13.4 db
Data Rate 2048 509 kbps
Max Rate 23884 556 kbps
POWER 19.3 12.1 dbm
CRC 0 0

i'm actually about 900m away from the CO according to google maps

You have amazing download stats but upload stats are bad , even i who is 2km from the co have 15mb download max rate and 1.16mb upload max rate

It is normal. My case is the same
I'm 600m away and my max upload is 556kbps
The value of the max upload varies with the speed you have since when i had 1mbps/256kbps my max upload was 256kbps displayed by tplink modem, so i guess it is normal
Guys i have a question. Has anyone succeeded in enabling VDSL2 Modulation on his line?
I connected the VDSL2 Modem and i couldn't get the modem to sync on VDSL2.
I am sure I'm feasible to have VDSL2 since I'm only 600m away

alifawaz, vdsl can't be activated by its own, it needs to be done from ogero side to enable it (switching ports or something like that).
My vdsl will be activated by the end of this month.

All you need to do is go to ur nearest ogero co, and apply for vdsl (don't let them do an application for vdsl for a parallel internet line, just tell them you want to activate vdsl on your existing line), they will do a feasibilty study first, after the results of the feasiblity study (and if you are eligible) you need to go to minet hosn and let them configure your vdsl modem. after that you just need to wait for it to be activated.

Where did you get ur vdsl modem from? What brand\model? And what was its price?
Please Administrator, can we do a sticky topic for vdsl?

My friend brought it for me from abroad.
It is the TD-W9970 VDSL2 Modem
It cost me ~$40

When i went to the CO they had NO IDEA about VDSL2
my ogero account still shows :
Speed : 128 Kbps/32 Kbps since we first applied 6 years ago, although we're getting 1Mbps, why it's still like this?
another question, if Max Rate showing on my router is above 1Mbps, what does it mean, I have like 4000Kbps max rate, doesn't that mean I should be getting 2Mbps that I'm paying for?
chosen2k wroteI also confirm they switched My Ogero account I was on the 6-8 and now it is showing Open speed 150GB.
I will be upgrading next month to the Open speed 200 GB
Silentcontrol wroteHow cute they think the max quota 200gb will not be reached.
On my 6mb speed i did so far 40gb only the first 10 days of the month and thats not counting the unlimited night traffic.
Ps:im holding back a lot.
Last month, I forgot my ps4 turned on the first day of the month. It downloaded 59.9 GB on the first day.
Ended up with the below after a lot of self control and 4G usage
You have exceeded your Allowed Free Usage volume of 60 GB by 51555.328 MB (OR 50.347 GB)
Your extra consumption charge is 103112 L.L.
Which area ? Where do you live ?

You should contact 1516 , or try contacting Mr Imad Kreidieh via twitter

Follow up to the quoted post: I emailed Sodetel about the issue a few days ago and got a call today. They fixed my downstream rate to 5020Kbps and told me to keep checking the connection, and that my case is open in case new issues pop up.
Correction: it was the SNR that was fixed to 12dB. But my stupid line is still facing SNR drops T_T. I contacted them again after various diagnostics. Apparently my open speed will stay at 4Mbps that is if it doesn't get even lower lol.
