To anyone concerned about VDSL and open speed plans. Your best friend would be VDSL2.
DSL, ADSL, ADSL2+, VDSL, VDSL2, VPlus, G.Fast are all DSL technologies operating on the same copper wire but on different frequencies called profiles. For instance VDSL2 can be profile 17a or 30a (and their respective operating frequencies according to ITU-T standards). VPlus is called profile 35b (and operates at 35MHz).
Now the best solution to anyone would be a VDSL2 connection (profile 17a) which yields 100 mbps up to 800 meters. Modems are available online and affordable. VDSL2 profile 30a will provide 200mbps for a long distance too with affordable modems.
