email works but it needs like 3-10 days, I suggest you call they will do it in 5mins
These are my line stats

Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 947 / 6.620
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 511 / 2.043
Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 10,0 / 14,0
SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 28,5 / 28,0

Ogero told me the maximum speed my line can handle is 23 mbps.
IDM did a speed test on my line and told me the maximum speed my line can handle is 6 mbps

Whom should I trust? and why these huge difference in their findings?
trust ogero your line is excellent , and when did they tell you that

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think idm checked the maximum bandwidth in your router and told you 6mb
while ogero calculated your down line attenuation of 14, which should give you 22.4 mbps, according to this calculator...

you are not wrong but this modem must have synced to adsl1 which has 7-8mb max rate, but his line attenuation and sn margin are so good

so 6 or 23??

2 weeks ago by email.

and to confirmed, i requested a speed test from from IDM, and after 10 days they gave me the answer which was 6!!
your line is good but if you can find a way to change to adsl2+ then you can get >15mb

IDM told me they did a speed test! They took 10 days to give me an answer.

My line attenuation is 39, so based on the calculator i should get a max of 9.5 Mbps. However, ogero told me during the unleash the speed test day that the max is 5 Mbps. Can anyone assist ?
Guys keep in mind that the calculator gives an approx. value of your speed, when i use the calculator i get 20 mbps speed but during the test i had 16-17 mbps so it's not the most accurate. Check your modem's max rate it gives a better estimation.

Where can i check the modem's max rate ? I have a Thomson TG 585 v7

Oh this modem doesn't display the max rate, can you share the SN margin too ? line attenuation isn't the only factor in speeds.

DSL Type: ANSI T1.413

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 512 / 2.048

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [kB/kB]: 0,00 / 0,00

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 11,5 / 16,5

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 23,0 / 39,0

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 22,0 / 25,0
You should be able to achieve 6 mbps max so basically ogero are right, when you use this calculator change the cable loss to 10.6 because our cables are old so 39 dB with 10.6 loss gives you 5-6 mbps and make sure you sync on ADSL2+, your current mode is ADSL which gives you barely 5 mbps.

oh okay! how can i sync to ADSL2+ then ? Your assistance is highly appreciated bro
Will talk to you with private messages because it looks like a lengthy procedure not an easy one.

true that our cables are old, but I'm just curious how you came up with 10.6 ?
Nemesis-301 wrotetrue that our cables are old, but I'm just curious how you came up with 10.6 ?
A simple estimation, i kept changing the cable loss value on the calculator with the same attenuation (19.4 dB) until the result was the speed i had during the test days, and then with 10.6 loss + 39 dB attenuation the result was just like ogero told Mylo89 so it's probably the closest estimation we can get with our cables.

Wow bro, an extra 1km away from the CO with 10.6 loss :p
