yea what's with the fiber? Also can anyone please explain to me what dedicated speeds are? I'm horrible with networking stuff...I just want low ping :(
I think the fiber plans are for areas like downtown and Beit Misk and the rest til the fiber infrastructure is complete in most of the country .(hoping it will be done)

So for now lets thank the copper line for its generosity (because its gonna get raped).
it seems like Fiber Is Available to anyone within 800meter From the CO , i'am 1000km away so no luck for me ...

Really any reference to that , I am 800 meter away from the CO. What about dedicated 4Mpbs , what will be the benefits of that compared to the normal 4Mpbs both are unlimited but there is a huge jump in price. Plus , will fiber optic sure it will need a change of infrastructure of my rourter at home and cables (any hints). Finally Iam currently on Ogero any hints if ISPs will provide unlimited traffic at night.
i don't know i'am trying to dig for more information as we speak , Mr Imad is not answering questions lets wait for tonight on twitter i think he will answer us or at least i hope
I highly doubt there will be unlimited nights with open speeds... because some people had speed of 20mb/s during the unleash the speed tests...
which would be equal to 2mb/s
==> 7.2GB/hour
==> 57.6GB in 8 hours of unlimited night traffic
==> 1728GB/month !

sounds insane tbh...

they could give separate quotas for night use. for example extra 100GB between 11pm and 7am

or they could limit the speed at night (5 years ago, they used to double it, now they can reduce it to 2 or 4 mbps for example)
if open nights will happen and there's a big big big big if

u'll be fupped to ablivion
These packages are tailored towards raiding money from over quota usage, they will definitely NOT give unlimited nights ever!

I feel sorry for the poor soul who will buy the 20$ open speed package and be surprised end of month with a 2000$+ bill

*sigh* here we go again...
so long as you don't provide a statistical data proving that having an open speed in comparison to a 2 or 4 mb limited one will use 10X or more quota...while having the same usage, your argument is invalid...
I am afraid what happen with people giving negative arguments about open speed and overquota, when they visit open buffet restaurant. Does they explode or/and each time go to hospital? :-D
It is very obvious. At least it should be for everyone here.

The general public is not tech oriented. Most people have their facebook videos on autoplay and their youtube settings on defaults. When they go on youtube they will now stream higher quality, and facebook vids will all download quickly. With the fast internet websites will open faster and so people will visit more websites...

All that extra speed and the quota remained the same... It's common sense what proof do you need? Phone bill snapshots are coming next month from other people, those will be your proof.
One thing that is true is that you will have to now manage your quota more than you did before.

Speed will be capped for unlimited night like 1/2 speed, and rare are the people who got 20mb/s, I got 15mb/s so about 7mb/s in unlimited night which is still better than my actual 4mb/s.
Don't worry if they want to continue unlimited night they can do it
i am dying to know the details and who can use the "fiber optics" plans
Also, what exactly did we benefit really? Did anyone here have problems using up their quotas by the end of the month because the internet was too slow? No. Most people already went over quota, the problems most of us face is when several people at home want to use the internet, we use to slow each other down. Or browsing the internet while downloading a movie... Now all of this is gone with higher speed, you expect the bill to stay the same?
Which is what I did, and I will get the 10$ discount making people like me the ones who benefit the most. Now if they can only call it like it is, a 10$ discount for unlimited and a trap for limited packages.

Fiber optics is used by heavy users which are banks, universities, hospitals... He said it in one if his tweets.
