Thanks guys for your help. I don't think I am able to change to ADSL2+ using my router or either I'm not able to find that option. My router is the ZHONE wifi router model 6519-W1-XX that comes with ogero. I'm logging in using user/user as username and password.

However, weird enough when I was looking for the settings today, the statistics were changed from yesterday as shown below.

New Router Stats
It looks like it was too good to be true these last days :(
Now my max data is 18 instead of 21 and Data rate 17.5
SNR Margin dropped from 10 to 8 and modem reboots are back, so it's slower and still unstable.
Speed test dropped from 16mb/s to 14.5mb/s :(
I get a bad feeling about that
to all who are facing decrease in speed, give it around 1 or 2 hours, and everthing will be restored back to normal. Don't ask me how i know, i can't talk :D
they are tinkering with snr margin to get things more stable

that was to be expected though

still getting very different results from 3 days ago

my max rate is 9mb now used to be 14mb =O
Hello , i been following this forum for a while
I wanna ask
Downstream. Upstream
Snr. 37.7 24.7
Line atten 12 11.3
Max rate. 23.5 mb. 0.94mb
Crc. 0. 0

These are my line stats why is it i only got 15.5mb on the unleash the speed test??
Yes but i chose open speed for next month
But in the unleash the speed test i was only able to attain 15mb
I'm a bit greedy :p
Arent my line stats good ?

your stats are AWESOME, and yes, you should be getting more
the max rate will go down when speed is open so 15mb seems fair but you should be getting 17-18mb in my opinion
guys just for general knowledge, some routers sync higher than other in terms of max speed. and also, some router can withstand higher snr ratios than other. Iam talking from personal experience. tplink w8961nd vs tplink vr400. vr400 being the superior one.

On w8961nd, with open speed now, my download speed is 14.5. whereby vr400 my download speed is 17.5

I read somewhere that routers with broadcom chipsets (in my case the vr400) is superior in terms of higher snr ratios and higher syn rates.
So tonight I came home and the whole family was nagging about slow Internet. I picked up my Hewlett Packard laptop and in a blink of an eye navigated into my modem's stats.

And so it beings ...

I thought wow they must be really working hard on this at Ogero, let me tweak the SNR and push it higher a little bit.

Oh man I didn't do anything yet and I'm already getting CRC errors.

Ok, shifting gears and going up to ONE!1!!1!!! Mbps

Not a second in and it's already raining CRCs.

When I was about to pick up the phone and call Sodetel support I remembered the age old question "sir did you try plugging it in another outlet ?"

So I did that and everything went back to normal

The thing is, I remember this outlet being trash a few years ago and it once fried my old DSL modem. A few days ago I tried to sync on this outlet and only got 2Mbps. It seems like these two outlets like to swap roles every 2 years.

So to update you on this, i called ogero and they sent someone to check the lines in my house. The technician that came said that my lines are not able to accommodate more than 6mbps. What do you guys think??

I can't help you unless you change to adsl2+ then i can know true distance from the co, since gdmt is another modulation
where can I buy a modem with a broadcom chipset

Can i do that using the zhone router by ogero? I asked before because i was not able to find the option to change that.

if there's no option for it you have to use telnet
So this is interesting
I'm getting full speed on Annex mode M

While on Annex A (lower Line Attenuation) my speed is being limited, and my CRC errors are sky high.

Any idea as to what can cause this and how I can resolve it?
