aliessayli2 wroteI use one of those small modem ups, but I notice if I plug the modem directly to the electricity outlet I get like 2 db increase in sn margin, what can I do I can't leave the modem without a ups
The story is long, it is not only any power usage from the same socket, any power usage on any device (example: lamp) using the same routed cable in the wall will affect the SNR, yesterday I completely stopped using the phone cables routed in the walls and I routed an ethernet cable which I connected directly to Ogero box and from the other end to a filter to split it into modem/phone, my internet is now not affected by any power from my side, I get 10mbps at 6.8dB SNR, I still notice a slight improvement to 8.8dB when power is down but I believe this is coming from the before the box (not my responsibility) and I might call Ogero for that.
but in my case the ups itself which is sitting under the modem is causing the interference, plugging to the electricity directly gives better snr, the ups cable is short that's why it is sitting under the modem, maybe I can use a longer power cable and put the ups a little far from the modem?
Uh, guys. What the hell is causing this? I can't upload shit and it keeps disconnecting.
Sodetel subscriber by the way.
Can anyone tell me if my line stats are good and what can be done to improve my internet ? I don't have any technical knowledge to know what to look for.

call them and tell them to limit your rate so your modem stops disconnecting

your line is perfect you don't need any improvements, you are already getting 21 Mbps

Thanks, is it worth it to go for VDSL based on my stats or not really ?

My SNR is now dropping below 6 (3~4) but its stopped disconnecting, any possibilty that Sodetel is just working on the lines causing this drop in SNR and rise in CRC?

Call your ISP and ask if you can get it or not. Careful so that they don't mistake VDSL for HDSL.
In your case, you seem to be close to the CO so you should be able to get VDSL.

yes I think that it's feasible for you line since you look like you're close to the central office and you'll get even more bump to your speeds

what is the speed that you used to get? did it always sync at that rate before? it seems a high rate for your line, your attenuation is 42 and they are giving you 12 mbps which is high for those stats and the modem is struggling to sync at those speeds
Before re-routing the phone Line:

- Max Rate ~ 9mbps, Current Rate: ~8mbps, SpeedTest: 7.5mbps, SNR: 6dB. Disconnects occurs a lot

After:

- Max Rate ~ 11mbp, Current Rate: ~10mbps, SpeedTest 9.7mbps, SNR: ~7dB. No disconnects, few packets errors are noticed in the modem stats

Once Ogero adjust the synced rate to be a little lower than the max rate we will have better SNR and no packet errors, I'm fine with 9mbps rate instead of 10mbps if the quality will be guaranteed

Same speed as now, haven't really recieved an upgrade yet. And yes, I have same Line Attenuation and SNR as before. It would rarely disconnect.

yea you are pushing your line to it's max and any kind of interference in any way will cause a disconnection, the current drop in snr csn be caused by noise generated anywhere from your house to the CO
Would it be worth it to change ISP from sodetel to Ogero knowing that the Ogero Bir Hassan CO is ~1.1km away from where I live?
Or would I still get a high line attentuation as now?

changing ISP wouldn't change the CO you are connected to, I don't think it's even possible to change CO

but it's strange why you aren't connected to that CO in the first place instead of this other really far CO

that's now, what the heck is going on :/
@ahb21 you are syncing on ADSL2+ annex M. Now this might not fix your upload problem but you should get higher download sync by choosing annex A.

Annex M allocates more channel for Upload for a target speed of 3Mbps at the expense of some download speed. The maximum upload speed on Annex A is 1.5Mbps for the benefit of more download speed.

Try to make the modem sync on G.DMT Annex A and tell us the results
problem is, that's what I'm always syncing on, now CRC stopped for some reason, I don't know what's happening
I reset by mistake my "WIFI" in my tp-link modem/router. Wifi doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know someone from Ogero who could help me with the user/pass of my modem? admin/admin doesn't work..

Thanks!

Oh nice, thanks for the tip.
