Internet in Lebanon - General Questions
I doubt soon :( Right now law allowing such activities only for Ogero, and Ogero is govt structure, and need approval for each step.Ahmad Toutounji wrotewill we see these stuff here in Lebanon?=pnuclearcat wroteAlso, here is another example, small private company does fiber splicing for small group of buildings.

If I'm not mistaken, they usually update the website every Monday.
Is there no other way they publish it? Like on the news or something...?
Its only posted on the website?
So much hype, hahaha

I'm HTTP-pinging Latest official gazette file link, as you can see in the link above, you can easily predict the new link (j26, the latest published was j25).
This way how geeks work ;)

From Utilizing my connections at Ogero the past few days :
-Fiber optics on the near future will not be connected to one home alone , the whole building apartments tenants agree for that plus great priority is given for buildings near the CO (Execption: You migh be living near a Bank with Fiber Optics they can draw a single optic line for you but it depends case to case study not 100% acheivable).
-Change of Plans will take place 1st of July , you cannot request a change from now util the end of this month.
-VDSL needs a separate request you need to submit to your local CO or your ISP to be approved and change from ADSL to VDSL. Ogero will only configure the modem , they will not provide VDSL modems. VDSL are useful for open bandwidth plans mostly when you close to the CO, as you can further VDSL = ADSL max speed or lower depending on the copper line quality in my home which need to be tested through your ISP or Ogero if you are an Ogero Subscriber. (Example: I am 800 m from the CO the ogero line cabinet below the buidling tipped a max speed of 20Mpbs in" Unleash the Speed" test day which the regular ADSL modem handles so no need of VDSL - so you need to do your study (Inner Wires quality , How Far you are from the CO , inner electrical interference etc.. ) Since the VDSL it self will not alter your upload speeds or ping it will only be for the max speeds for example your line handles above 20Mpbs on open bandwidth a VDSL modem will handle the extra since it will tip a 50Mbps max speed handling. For better speed stability not speed they recommended to shift for a dedicated plan , for lower pings and high uploads.

On unleash the speed a vdsl modem gave you 20mb and an adsl2+ gave you 20mb too? Btw ogero will give vdsl modems

Anyone subscribed with Ogero cannot check his monthly usage on their website ? It says "DSL Information for Lxxxxxx will be available soon".
I'm on the 2 Mbps / Unlimited quota plan if that makes any difference and it used to be available.
EDIT: Oh nevermind. I just realized that today is the 16th, so the usage probably got reset today or yesterday.
