They made sure switching ISPs is as hard as possible. To switch you need "Bara2it Zemmeh" dunno what it's called in English sorry. And a wait before they release your line. No thanks.Ahmad Toutounji wroteGo for ogero 2mb unlimited plan for 50$ i don't think they will have fup
Only time will tell. Am just glad I can switch between 2mbps plans back n forth. I might go back to unlimited one once all settles down. Who knows. But for now limited to run as far away from FUP as possible.
"Kindly note that your plan now is 4M-50GB, so no FUP will be applied on your account, FUP is only applicable on unlimited plans for the time being. Should you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us on 1282 ext 1."

Thanks for your time man. They never told me "for the time being" that's new. Hope it's true.andrew55 wrote"Kindly note that your plan now is 4M-50GB, so no FUP will be applied on your account, FUP is only applicable on unlimited plans for the time being. I download at full speed on download accelerator but i download on firefox and chrome at one-fourth the speed. Is someone experiencing this??
Yes. Who uses browser download anyway? It's not good that's why download accelerator exists and Internet Download Manager.andrew55 wroteI download at full speed on download accelerator but i download on firefox and chrome at one-fourth the speed. Is someone experiencing this??
Never use browser to download you will not get good speeds as you just said.
Yes but i've always used it and everything was fine. I was getting full bandwidth download on both browsers. Something changed in the past 2 days or so (at least with regards to my connection. As usual IDM has no clue.).
Am sorry to say you are right, but ditch browser download. As I said it has always been unreliable for me since 2001 to this day. So use IDM or any accelerator. Pause/Resume, scheduler etc...andrew55 wroteYes but i've always used it and everything was fine. I was getting full bandwidth download on both browsers. Only use it for small downloads like 2mb n such.

You are right we need it and we need it so bad, they are stealing from us
Thanks for shedding light on my point. But all we can do now is stop complaining and wait till after August 1st. Then complain if it remains like this.AVOlio wroteJust Patched Battlefield 4.

On Ogero, I am still getting full 2mbps with no download manager. But obviously either IDM's QOS deteriorated drastically, or they are doing some sort of per connection (TCP/UDP) throttling that gets mitigated by splitting a download.andrew55 wroteYes but i've always used it and everything was fine. In this day and age, 99% of reputable download servers allow well over 4mbps per connection.
and to prove your point i connected my modem to the computer and even changed modems.. i knew it was an issue from their side. Download is now back to normal on firefox! weird...
Trent, I hope by going limited in a week or will solve my issue. Waiting patiently for next week to come to see.
If all goes as they say no FUP on limited plans I will stick with it. But it's not like I can't go back to unlimited once they fix their shit.

oh and btw wouldn't a vpn connection stop the tcp/udp throttling?
Nope it doesn't work. It appears that they are using some sort low level throttling technique that works at the hardware layer not the software.andrew55 wroteoh and btw wouldn't a vpn connection stop the tcp/udp throttling?
and of course they would say everything is good on their end! Thanks for the info.
