Make them better? I don't think it's possible, or at least legal. It will require tampering the copper wires between you and the telephone box. I'm not sure though.

G.lite will give you a better ping if in fact the DSLAM accepts it (not all will) but the problem with G.lite is the reduced speed. it's up to you to use whichever connection you prefer but if you want to upgrade to a higher speed i suggest you leave it on regular adsl (dmt) or adsl2+ just b/c i don't really know how Lebanese ISPs test how much speed your line can handle.. they might read your modem stats and check your CO (if someone knows more about this please correct me).
An update for using G.lite, although the ping is lower than adsl1, the ping is not stable at all in games.

And here are my stats when switched to G.DMT and G.Lite, my latency dropped by about 20-30ms on both. I'm gonna test how these actually play out in games. I got 1CRC though on both settings ><
Another question, if I pass by ogero and tell them about upgrading, do u think they would retest my line if i kept my modulation on G.DMT since they wouldn't give me more then 1mbps intially? unlike other ISPs who test the speeds while on phone, ogero needs a week :/

For me G.lite was bad for gaming, i got 62ms on speedtest but when i play bf4 EU Servers it would jump to 999ms.
With G.dmt i got 78ms on speedtest and very stable with bf4 85-90ms

I don't think you have frequent disconnections but regardless keep sra on. Keep bitswap on. And test your connection and see how stable it is on each. Hopefully you'll get the 2 mbps on tuesday.

my max rate says 9.5 mbs. when i asked sodetel last time they told me that my line can't handle 8mbs. how come? the parameters look okay to me
