Re-installing Grub!?

hello,
my bro wants to re-install windows advanced server on the machine, so microsucks bootloader will take over grub's place .. any idea how to restore grub and to keep my linux dekstop ?! :rolleyes:

my way of doing it is boot with a live CD (Knoppix, Gentoo Live, Debian Rescue), chroot to your "/" and type update_grub (or the appropriate grub command which i forgot and that you can look for it on google.com) Of course don't forget to add your Windows partition in /boot/grub/menu.lst

thanks alot guys for the informations .. and sorry for not replying earlier but i have been busy studying for my exams, i guess i'll try to re-install grub after finishing my exams. (so i may post my problems later )
