Geforce FX5200 3d card problem ??

my gefroce fx5200 128mb graphics card has been lagging lately when im playing a game  it sometimes get stuck for 10 seconds then works perfecctly  and evry few minutes it happens again so i checked the vga i opened the pc when i turn it on  the fan for the geforce wasnt it turning so the vga was heating up probably any suggestions

it is the hardware
you'd better fix this problem before you fry the board
find a second hand fan that fits or try watercooling although it is not worth it for such card but it would be a good investment if you are planning to buy a 512
any ways try not to stress on it much (playing demanding 3d ganes hl2 doom....)

Happened to me with a 5900, I had forgotten to plug-in the extra power connector of the vga card.
Check if there is a extra power connector that you need to connect.
If the card is delivering power but the fan is not turning then find a way to put on a new fan and glue it on heatsink.
if the card is not delivering power to the fan but the fan is OK, then you can connect the fan to the motherboard or take power from a power supply cable (work your way with electric tape). It is written on the power supply what coulours will give you 12 v. Fans are usually 12v.

no man i said glue it to the HEATSINK, not the GPU. Sure ou need thermal past between the GPU and the heatsink, but not the heatsink and the fan.

ok guys one question  water cooling what does it do it cools evrything in pc including vga  and how much does it cost i just want a normal one not the most expensivee also anyone know approx pirce for 512mb vga
doe scooling also help increase pc preformance

ok guys watsdifference from pci to agp is it just that pci usus a pci slot because thats ridiculous to put price so high for pci

pci-e is faster thann agp it uses 16 lane on the motherboard plus you have the option of sli
